    Local Transmission shop

    Hi everyone,

    I am looking for a local transmission shop (Portland area) to install my 3000 stall convertor. I prefer to find a really good shop or one that's done this on an LX before. I'd do this myself but I can't get the car raised enough w/the jack stands. I want to get this done/dusted before I start the main engine build. Any suggestions are welcome....

    BTW all the engine build parts are ordered and should arrive in two weeks....if any of you are interested in helping or watching (pizza/beer etc...) the build let me know and I will post up the time/place.

    Oh boy! Count me in. I'd advise a release form for those who want to 'wrench' to promise not to touch tools/motors after imbibing ...

    Maybe talk to Kris at KO Racing in Oregon City. He is Alikazams brother and might cut you a deal better than you could get at a transmission shop...

    I don't know of any transmission shops. But, I'd be happy to help or watch with the engine mods, if I'm available when you're doing them.

    If you're pulling the engine, can't u just slap the converter in while the block is out?

    Not pulling the block, that's way too much work. Just changing the heads/intake/cam/throttlebody etc...
