Help needed in the Seattle area!

    Hey guys,

Long story short, a sleazy Russian vehicle transport company f'd up my Maggie and now the check engine light is on. Who knows what else might be wrong with the car. Do you guys know of a particularly good Dodge dealership in the area that could go over the car? The car's still under warranty hence the idea of a dealership.

I'm so pissed I could easily do something really bad to certain car transport 'professionals' ...

First things first. Do the key dance trick to see what code lit up the CEL. If your not familiar with it, just put your key in the ignition, then turn it to on-acc-on-acc-on, then the odometer will be replaced with a code (or codes) if you have one then it will say done when it's finished. Then once you know the code number we can be of more help. When you do the key dance, do it fairly quickly about 3 sec. start to end.

Thanks guys! I'll see if I can check the code that's being thrown, after all the problems I had with this transport company I'm just happy to have her back in my garage, even if a little crippled.

Note to self: NEVER EVER, EVER let a company that hires you pick the vehicle transport firm for your relocation package.

Still looking forward to meeting you all once she's healthy again.

Tom Matson Dodge in Auburn is good for warranty work on the south end. I know there is one on the northend that is really good everyone uses hopefully someone can chime in.

Thanks for all the help guys, the key dance resulted in P0300 (Engine Misfire Detected).

Thanks squeeg, I was in touch with Matson Dodge and they did seem like a pretty decent place!

And heck yea I'm up for a meet when all this is resolved!

Did ya raise the hood to be sure it's not been replaced with a 6?

How about mileage - did you check the odometer before and after delivery?

Hope it gets resolved. I'd advise against even thinking about retaliation. Just a gut feeling if you know what I mean.

I know exactly what you mean... The odo showed 2 miles between pickup and delivery. In addition, I noticed the base of the ignition is all jacked up (the key wobbles back and forth about an 2 inches). It's at a dealership right now to see wtf has been done to the car.

Also, the car has probably 10 pounds of caked mud in the wheelwells and underneath, between the spokes etc. Anybody know of any good detailers in the area?

Phew! Sounds like there's no mechanical damage to the vehicle other than roasted rear tires (not by me) and a scraped front lip. Now all I need to do is have somebody do some major detailing to get all the crap off of the car.

All's well that ends well I guess and I sure learned a lesson!

    So when's the meet?
