Smile Help me find a Magnum in Wester Washington.

OK, the time has finally come.
In Mid July, I'll have my funds squared away. I'm doing a HELOC (get to write off the interest )

SO, I need help finding a good car. I'm looking for an R/T Magnum. I'd prefer a 2005, with a little bit of miles on it. Can't afford new. Want to spend below 30k.

Here's the reason I need your help - I need a car with NO sunroof. R/T's with no roof seem to be rare.

I'm actually not too picky about outside color, but I do not want the dark gray interior, only the light graystone.

I'm reluctant to go too far from home to get a car, because I want to be able to walk away if it's just not right. What I mean is this for example - Dave Smith seems to have some nice ones, but if I went all the way over there to find it has a door dent, or a huge rock chip in the nose, then that was a long drive to just turn around and go home. If I was buying new, that wouldn't be an issue of course.

So, please, if you spot a cherry Magnum R/T, no roof, please let me know.
    I'm in Western WA. (Auburn)
    Chris.

Hey, Chris, have you checked with Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg, Id? I mention that because they have used cars there as well and pretty reasonable, too. If you want to ****er, Tacoma Dodge will match prices for new with Dave Smith. You may get it for the price you want new.

^ what he said. Call Dave Smith and have them send you all around pics. They will work with you. Have ya gone to auto trader.com? could try them to see what you can find.

If I see one roaming the roads here I'll post it. Good luck!

I sent you one from Dave Smith. I guess you edited the first post or I didn't see it. You can call them and ask if there are any blemishes on the one s you want.

Thanks all. I guess I never really thought about that - have Dave Smith send a bunch more pics. Their cars always seem to look like they've just driven on a snowy dirty road, but maybe it's just the camera.

Ive looked at alot of their cars over the years and have gone there to get my 300C. Unfortunately, they move so many cars, I don't think they take the time to wash the cars as they come in for trade. I looked on the website and found four with no sunroof. Not sure of the interior though.

That's my favorite color - seems to be mineral gray.

I spotted that one about a week ago, just worried it will be gone in 2 weeks. We'll see.

Of course, there is always the idea of using Chrysler finance, for the first payment, then paying it off with HELOC. Hmmm...

Is there still any rebates for Magnum doing it this way?

Are there any issues with buying out of state? Seems Idaho is OK for that? Or what?

They do move their cars pretty fast but with the new friends and fam plan coming out again this year for the new cars those may sit a little longer.

When we (reppr is my other half) got the C there we did some financing thru them to save 2K and then paid it off after 3 months.

Dave Smith will take care of everything and let you know what deals/ rebates are out to take advantage of. The price and all that is already taken care of before you get there - so when you arrive you spend about 15 minutes signing papers and them telling you about your warranties. Quick, simple, friendly and out the door. Great experience. They will charge you all the proper taxes and tab fees so when you get home your tabs arrive in a few weeks.

I'm an intense shopper and Dave Smith Motors didn't have much inventory of Magnums or good prices on the used ones they did have. I also tried to buy used and nobody in the NW wanted to take a $10k loss on their used Magnum. I found a lot of new 2005 Magnum R/Ts and with the dealers selling them for invoice minus holdback minus $3,000 it was the way to go. Get on Dodge.com and check inventories. I wanted the gray interior and all I found around here was graystone. I wanted a sunroof and most new ones didn't have sunroofs. I ended up getting my Magnum in New Mexico.
It looks like 2012 will be very good indeed.
Unless the Mayans are right, then, well, never mind.

You might get in touch with these guys. We bought ours there.
    Campbell Chrysler Dodge Jeep
They actually move a lot of cars. Just off I-5 about 30 or 35 miles south of Olympia. Ask to speak with a general sales manager preferably Dennis or if you can't get him, Leon. Don't take a regular salesman. You can tell them Shelli Auman that bought the Magnesium Magnum sent you. You might be able to deal with them. They usually always have some pre-owned Magnums. And two count 'em two Top Banana Chargers. One is a pace car for the local speedway.

    7car7,

Wow, you wanted a mineral gray one. I just bought one on Sunday for $16,000. I'll be at the VTR with it in Everett if you want to check it out. I'll keep my eyes open for one for you though!!

Hey, I forgot...my dad sells used cars in Phoenix. I can have him look out for one for you. He has two on his lot now...one is white and one is silver. I think they were put up for auction by a car rental place. I can check with him if he comes up with any mineral gray ones for ya'!

It's looking like I found one, it's a dealer trade issue, just waiting for them to get their ducks in a row.

    Stone White, R/T, no roof.

Is that an R/T with no roof? If so I'm going to be sick.

I was over to Dave Smith motors last week. They had 6 SRT8's and I don't know how many Magnums sitting around. In today's paper they have a couple new 300C hemi's for under $28K.
