    EBC red stuff brake pads

I am looking to get new pads front and rear. I am more worried about stoping power than dust. EBC says their new red stuff pads stop better and have less dust. Has any one tried these new pads and what do you think. Thanks.

Very noisy pad. When I put on EBC reds and rotors they were well lubed and I bedded them really well, the noise never goes away. I went back to the Napa top end pads with no problems. I believe BlueBee's noisy pads were the EBC reds as well.

Same here--went with Autozone duralast gold (or something like that) ceramic pads after I believe they stopped better, less dust, and no noise.

Pretty sure EBC Yellow Stuff is better option if you don't really care about the dust..

Not sure what you're running for rotors Wilson. Anyway the Yellow Stuff is working good for me. Got these paired with EBC Ultimax slotted rotors. I put the disc quiet stuff on both the back side of pads and where they contact the calipers and pistons. Let set for 10-15 minutes and assemble. No noise. Never used the Red Stuff so I don't know how they compare.

Whoops that was a quick reply, didn't notice this was SFC20 question.

i have the red stuff pads now. they have been great. that being said i am going to yellow stuff soon to have a better track pad. the thing about the reds is that break in is long and most give up on them before they get through that due to the noise during break in time. it took 2000 miles for mine to shut up. after that they are the best pad i have used by far. they are kinda hard on rotors though, but most pads that can take some track abuse are.

I had the red stuff on my magnum. Never really squealed much during break in.
