    Cam install

    Hey everyone!

I have this beautiful, shiney, new PPP cam and springs. Is there anyone out there that I can hire to install it for me?

    Please?

I really want to do all of the wrench turning so I can learn. All you have to do is sit in a lawn chair, drink beer (Or ice tea...), and tell me what to do.

I will pay for you to get here, put you up, feed ya, whatever makes everyone happy. I'm easy!

It'll give you a chance to get out of the house for a couple of days, eat and drink for free, and make a few bucks!

    Let me know...

Well I have done it before on mine with the help (lots of help) from some really good friends. When are you wanting to do it? I could possibly show up and help out for a day or so.

SOunds like fun, as long as the timing is right. (no pun intended).
I wouldn't be worthy of being for hire, but collectively, we put all our heads together (Boogie, Slim, Tony, Don and I), and had good results.

    Man, thanks everyone!

I go to weekends off starting April 11th. I was hoping to do it over a weekend, since it's my daily driver.

Hemi31, as far as I'm concerned, buying you an airline ticket is cheaper then the quotes I'm getting to professionally install the cam...LOL

Check your calanders, come up with adequite compensation (Hee hee hee), and PM me.

Again, I can't thank you all for helping!

Ok all of my local brothers and sisters! I have a professional willing to fly out to the PNW and do a group-install.

So, I guess, this would be like a Group Buy for a cam/head install!

The price would be around $350-400 for the install plus we all split his airfair...

    Anyone interested?

Pale, Boogie, Slim, I hear you guys are all studs and completely capable. What do you think?

And what about tuning? Will my car be drivable without a tune? How did you all get tunes?

Crap, then there's gaskets, fluids, who knows what else...

    Help!!

PM me. A group install Meet and Greet could be fun!

well, i have to install new pushrods and a tstat but hope to have those in this weekend. that would be sweet if anybody else has stuff laying around, it depends on what kind of cam you bought if you will need dyno tuning or data log and email tune. now i know some ppl dont like carbconn (alex) in kirkland BUT I have had awesome results with him, he tamed my beast of a cam and i made great hp. very smart and stand up guy, great dude. and i will recommend him to anybody. i have had zero problems with my car. only one that was my fault for about a week where the battery connection was loose. doh! but seriously check out his site and give him a call if you like.

There are a few tuners on the boards that can give (sell) you a base tune to get in running until you either do an email tune or have a CMR locally. I have no opinion on the local tuner mentioned but I did do an email tune with Bob@SVS and the A/F and timing were awesome along with drivability at HALF the price of a local CMR.
