    Red face Bored in OKC

I'm here in OKC for seven weeks for work and am looking for something to do. As of now I'm pretty bored I mean I can only go to the mall and play XBOX for so long, there has to be something for me to get myself into.
A couple of people have told me about Bricktown so I may do that but what else is there to do out here.

*Oh and it really hurts to be stuck driving this slow rental car..... really it does*

Not too much to do around here, there are some educational places like the Omniplex, Zoo, Western Heritage Museum. Stuff like that, not that much interesting but something to do. Some good dining, if ya got some cash to spend (10-20$ per person type stuff on Meridian). Always movie theaters and the teeny boppers run around on 39th (Route 66) through OKC near Bethany. There is the Redhawks ball team and of course Bricktown. When your there don't forget to visit the drainage ditch er I mean the canal. 3rd and 4th of July there will be fireworks displays EVERYWHERE. Bricktown has a large one and I will be on South Western helping out with that one. Bethany has a whole festival that they put on, it's pretty good. If your into fishing you can head to Draper Lake and get a permit (lake permit, also have to have a licence) and putter around there or head out to Thunderbird and hit the swim beaches or do some fishing there. That's about all I can think of... though some of us have been planning a get together but with the weather we haven't done it yet...
Too many people buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, trying to impress people they don't even like...
Where am I going again and why am I in this handbasket?

Thanks for the response. I'm here right now and the weather out here is "unique". Went from storming last night to being clear today. I may just have to check some of those things out that you mentioned now that it's cleared up.

hehe sorry if I can of ran on there... Omniplex is pretty neat, all sience exibits, and next door is an aerospace museum. At least it use to be, haven't been in a few years. Not to mention it's next to the zoo. Oh and Remington Park is right there as well, if your interested in watching the ponies run.
There is also Thunder Valley down South where you can watch drags and on Friday you can go to the Fairgrounds and watch the roundy rounds.

No worries man. I went to the science exhibit last time I was here a few months ago, it was pretty cool. I appreciate the ideas on things to do.
