    Question Texas Mile.

Anybody heard of this? My Optometrist stopped by work today and mentioned it to me. He claims he had his Viper up to 174 there.

Sorry I see you already have the link. It has been used by some of the major car magazines to do top end testing.

I can't figure out if it's always in Goliad or some other place.

Looks really cool -- too bad they just had it last weekend.
But October's next. Would be a fun couple days.

It's in Goliad it's a old air strip runway. They have it twice a year in March and in Oct. They time you with radar and give you a certificate with your highest speed on it. This last one they had a turbo Hayabusa that clocked 204 then he spilled the bike just after the end of the timing area. This same guy had the fastest speed for the weekend at 209.

Broken clavicle and shoulder blade. He's OK but was in the hospital for a few days.

There is a good story from this. The Busa guys think he might have the Guiness record for the fastest crash on a bike. It's 200mph right now. Got to love the way bikers think......

Apparently it is -- got started just in 2003 on an old airstrip in Goliad -- neat idea.

Why not have a "Meet and greet" there? I'm dying to attend one. Not literally.

That could be amazing. As fast as you can go in a mile. WOW! You read the "braking" section? A little scary.
