Spring is Coming, North Texas gatering?

Spring will be here before we know it...I have talked to a few fellow Mag owners. Has there been a North Texas Gathering? Who is the Texas/Southwest administrator of such events?..Lets get together eh?

Which city?
I'm not that familiar with either Dallas or FtWorth.
I would think somewhere on an easily accessable hwy.

For what it's worth... We'll be coming down to the Dallas area from OK City and celebrating our 31st anniv. with college friends in Garland on the evening of April 26. Then heading west on the 27th... due to arrive in the Riverside, CA area on April 29.

moparman53 thought you waz gonna host one of these things a ways back. We had a dozen people ready to do a convoy down I-45 to your place from Dallas. You wanna do it or should we set it up here again? We've had 2 M&G's in the last few months. SeadooSandi had one at her house that was great and ChargerOSix put one together at a sports bar in Frisco not too long ago and got 'em to block off a part of their parking lot just for us. Whatever y'all decide, if it's a day's drive there and back I'm in. Gotta draw the line somewhere...lol.

Hell, if a lot of you that have thought about racing yer LX's but were too afraid to be embarrassed or thought it would be too expensive or WISELY don't want to run Johnny Ricer on the street, we need to do a day at the Texas Raceway in Kennedale. Just outside the Ft. Worth city limits we have this nice little 1/8 mile track with all the amenities. Really friendly place and you can race all day for $10. May go up to $15 this year, bummer. But, hey! Race legally, get a real electronic time slip, see how you do launching against a real Xmas tree light, race fellow stockers so ya know it's gonna be close and have some fun. Any interest? I know the folks there that run the joint and have some buddies that race some serious cars and rails there when they need to dial-in on the cheap before they head to Ennis to run for the big money. I'll bet we can get them to just run us against each other as a class if we get enough people (minimum 8). If you wanna stick around and race the 'Stangs and Camaros at night that's up to you. I'd like to keep it a club race but that's just me.

Here's a link to the track's web site. It will tell ya all ya need to know about what is required to race there and for us stockers it ain't much. You have to be breathing, have a car that is running, wear a shirt and pants and shoes, pay the money, that's about it. (Ya wouldn't believe how many people bitch about the shirt and shoes thing, not kidding.)
