Cool NASA MSR Cresson/DFW April 22/23

    Okey dokey boys and girls....

anyone up for this NASA event? NASA MSR Cresson/DFW April 22/23 $250 (new 3.1 mile track) is the date to mark on your calendar for the next HPDE.

4 sessions each day, Saturday and Sunday.

After completeing one HPDE with NASA the next NASA event we can sign up for Time Trials and race against the clock against other cars in our class.

One thing....according to the website it looks like we will all need to get magentic numbers for the sides of our cars.

They need to be 10 inches long and both sides of the car.

I'll get mine from Protape in Carrollton (where Russ got his.)
    VRRRROOOOOOMMM!!

Let me know if any of you Texas guys are interested.

You all that haven't ever driven on a road course will be surprised to how much you'll learn that will help you in your everyday driving.

I'll be there. I work for a Oil Company and our field office is literally right next to the track, I will take some pictures out of my window and post them.

By the way :( what is NASA? other than the fine folk who do our space exploration?

I'll come watch. Is this a Driver's Edge course? I've tracked my BMW on the old course back in Oct. Was hoping they'd have the new section open by then but it wasn't completed.

There should be a group for beginner drivers to a road course, there's usually 4 groups of drivers begginers up to semi pro.

Yes, if you don't have one MSR has them to rent for $10. for the day.

NASA = National Auto Sports Association.

I've never taken TDE so I can't say this is the same, I do know it's supposed to be 4 open sessions per day on the track (it's not a race) it's just to get you on the road course and learn how to handle your cars out there. It's a way to haul ass, have fun, and not to worry about getting a speeding ticket. Another good thing about MSR is if you end up off track there isn't any thing to run into, and if you don't end up off track at least once your not pushin yourself or your car hard enough.
