Talking Late Spring gtg in Austin, Tx.

So any body interested in a gtg the weekend of the 20th of May? We'd gtg, hang out, eat some good central Texas food, talk cars, take a short cruise down a couple twisty roads, then enjoy some of the famous Sat. night life of downtown Austin.

Sounds like a great idea!! I'll mark it in my calendar. Will give me a chance to see the kin folk in Georgetown while I'm down there.

JMO BTW but Austin is located in the center of Texas and would be easier to get to from all over the state. I used to live in Houston and it's a bitch to get around there because of all the traffic. Austin is 190 miles from DFW, 190 miles from Houston, 74 miles from San Antonio, and 203 miles from Corpus. Plus there aren't any isolated twisty roads in Houston to drive on and most importantly there's no 6th Street in Houston.

Here's some hotel info for those that are coming from out of town for the gtg. This place is clean, quiet, and not expensive.

We should put together a caravan for those of us traveling down from DFW area.

6th street is more geared for 20 somethings. West 4th is probably where we fit in better. A bit easier to find parking as well. There's a couple of places where local Hot Rodders hang on Friday and Saturday evenings. They move around, so I'll try to find out where they are currently. Wouldn't it be cool as hell to drive up in a caravan of 20-30 Mags, 300s, and Chargers?

That might be a possibility- keep me up to date on this. By the way, use DFW'ers ought to pick a Saturday and meet somewhere.
