Hi,
I've seen a lot of LX owners around here. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why there weren't a few more members from my area. I thought there had to at least be a few.
I've seen Albuquerque and El Paso TX represented.
So yesterday I park at Subway directly in front of a Blue Magnum RT "nose-to-nose" and leave a note for the owner about LXForums. They walk out of a store and we get to talking. Turns out this lady really loves her Magnum (go figure) and loves it's get up and go. I told her about LXForums and mentioned some of the really great stuff I've learned here. She was all ears and was very interested in checking it out.
So today I park at Lowes directly in front of a silver Magnum RT and leave a note for the person about LXForums. I come out of Lowes and they are getting in their car and she starts to get that note out from under her windshield wiper. By that time I'm within a few paces and I tell her how I also hate it when I have something under my wiper but I left it so that she could find out about a really cool website about these cars. We get to talking a little bit and she seems really interested in this site too.
Maybe they both were smiling and nodding to get the crazy bald dude to stop talking and going away, but I'm usually very good at detecting that "smile and nod" and either go away or make the creepiness much worse... These to ladies seemed like they'd really like to see what this site has to offer.
Hopefully they will cruise by here and check it out. If I don't have enough local LXers here, I'll get them myself. lol. Drag them to the website if I have to.
In all seriousness it was nice to meet them and hope they didn't think I was too much of a freak for being a stranger talking to them in the parking lot about their cars.
Laters all.
