Here is a group picture of today's meet & greet, (lunch & run), ending up at the beautiful Red Rocks City Park. Speaking for my wife and myself, we had a great time meeting folks and getting in some good 'ol face-to-face car chat time.

There were 9 of us there today. Definitely a good turnout. Maybe we can get more to join us next time. (I believe chargershed is planning a 'rod run' this coming May 6th.)

Nice group you had there!! I'm surprised that all nine rides were still running stock wheels. That's one of the first mods done from my experience. Is there a reason to stick w/ the stockers out there (i.e.- weather necessities, etc..) or is it just happenstance?

btw, whereabouts is Red Rocks in relation to Co. Springs and/or Denver?

Speaking for myself, $2000-$2500 for the wheel and tire setup I would want if I upgraded is a steep sell, especially when it is a brand new car. I will save the money and when the original set is worn down, thats when I will plead the case for the upgrade wheels and tires.

Red Rocks City Park is west of Denver right at the beginning of the foothills. Although it is not in the physically with the boundaries of the city and county of Denver, it is offically part of the Parks and Recreation District. It is a lovely area and is the site where the famous ampitheater is. To locate on a map it is south of the I-70 & Rooney Rd exit, just north of the town of Morrison.

Here is a mapquest link. Zoom to the 'City' level to see the relationship to Morrison, then zoom to the 'Region' level to see the relationship to Denver and Colorado Springs.

Alot of us just bought our rides!! Man, it was a very good day...

yeah!! Looks like a grand time!! I was asking earlier about where Red Rocks is located 'cause the background of the pic reminded me a lot of the "Garden of the Gods" sandstone formations in the Springs. I'll be in Denver for a wedding early-mid 2007 and I'll definitely want to check that place out if I can. If I have some extra time, I'd also like to get together with the Colorado LX contingent. Maybe have dinner at the Buckhorn Exchange?

What a great time we had. It was good to see the old friends from the past meets, and great to meet some new friends. It was a wonderful time, and the weather was perfect, 78 degrees and sunny. You should have seen the looks on faces of the people as they drove past us at Red Rocks. Lots of stares, shouts, and even a few people took some pictures of us. I enjoyed getting together with all of you, and look forward to our next meet.

It was a good time, thanks for orgainizing it, Walt. As for the stock wheels, I like the look of the RT rims, have put my $$ into making it go faster and stick to the road better. Wheels will be replaced in the future, as I have seen some really nice ones (esp. the black and gunmetal styles) but a SC or turbo must be the next major expense.

It was good to see everyone and the weather couldn't have been better! All the LX's looked great and we are definitely growing(in more ways than one for me!
