    NHRA in Joliet

Anyone going to the NHRA races in Joliet this weekend. I'll be there on Sunday with the wife and kids...we'll be sitting on the pit side...

I usually go... Wife was supposed to fly out to Canada for work on Sunday so we weren't going... the company cancelled her trip so I'll say maybe...

My wife told me the other day that I don't pay enough interest to sports she follows, (NHRA ) hahaha!

Have you ever attended at race before? IMO, Friday or Sauturday are the days to attend. You get to see more passes down the track.

Just called my buddy in Indy. Motor just got off the dyno and he is loading up the truck now. Good thing Chicago is only 180 miles away, nothing like waiting to last minute. First shot is 2:30 tomorrow. Hopefully if Smurf can hit the shifts they'll qualify this time.

I won't be at Chicago but look to be at Indy.

    Have a great time!!

Wife says weather forecast isn't good and she's looking forward to watching from the A/C splendor of our living room on 52" tv. Says the rubber doesn't go well with her blonde hair, her supper outfits, or her pasty white skin... (ok, I threw in the skin part )!

So... we're not going to make the 9 mile drive:(

Who would let a woman cook? Don't you have any selfpride? I do all the cooking at my house.

Now cake baking... that might be "womens work"

Yeah, I'd say I've been to about 10 or so over the last 20 years. I like Sunday b/c you get to see the conclusion. My boys want to go to the winner circle also.

That's kewl, as i stated you just get to see more cars go down the track on Friday or Saturday. Actually more cars in the pits to. Racers seem to scram if they don't qualify

Winner's circle is sweet, especially if your the ones celebrating. I like the circles in Atlanta, Topeka and Pomona myself

Like where... South side under the bleachers? On the road behind, (West of)( the staging lanes? North side under the bleachers? Pretty sure most people aren't going to have suite tickets, so those are the closest places they can get during the nationals.
