Memorial Day Picnic...

Date: Sunday, May 28th.
Time: High Noon
Place: Busse Woods- First Entrance East of Rt 53 on Higgins (Rt 72) South side.
Midwest Racing, The primary all American Made car club I belong to, will be having our annual Memorial Day picnic on that Sunday.
I'd like to extend an invitation to anyone from here who might like to come.
This picnic is open to members, their families, and anyone who might want to consider joining Midwest Racing. Details about our club are available at www.midwestracing.net.
There will be fun for everyone. Bring the kids, the dog, even the wife.LOL There will be volley ball, horse shoes, and maybe a softball game.
Beer, Brats, Burgers, Beer, Hot Dogs, Chips, Dips, did I mention Beer!!!??

So, if you ain't doing nothin and you might want to consider joining an organized club, stop out and have some fun.
BTW...this is only one of our planned yearly activities. We also go camping, drag racing at Byron Dragway, end of race season party, and a killer Christmas party. Plus a lot of other stuff we plan as we think them up.

One quick note...
I know that some people are turned off by the thought of paying dues in a club. But for the $15.00 a month we at Midwest Racing pay we get a Memorial Day picnic with food and beverages (Beer and pop for the kiddies), A 4 night 5 day camping trip to the dells with all camping fees paid, an end of race season party with pizza and drinks, and a killer Christmas party with 3 hour open bar and tons of food. All dues paid goes directly into these activities. We also have other trips that are paid for by the people who choose to go. Winter skiing, Great America and Medievil Times just to name a few. I just wanted to be sure everyone was clear on where those dues go.
The picnic invitation still stands. No one has to join. Its as good excuse as any to get together with fellow American Made Gear Heads. Just let me know if anyone might be coming. Gotta have enough beer.

i just want to add the Midwest Racing is a great club with alot of great members. i was a member about 3 or 4 years ago (wow it doesnt seem that long) and on the trip up to the dells my truck kinda died (snapped a rod and that beat up the 4th cylinder wall which equals death) and everyone was quick to help and give me a hand and did just about everything they could to try to help me out in every way possible. they are great people that will go that extra mile to make you feel right at home.

I also want to add that I'm not here just on some membership drive for my "other" club. I was looking for a group of like minded people when I found this site. I plan on staying active and making as many events here as possible.

Picnic is tomorrow. Anyone who wants to come, please feel free. There will be no pressure to join any club. There will be plenty to do, eat, and drink. Bring the family.

Just a quick note to say thanks to "Hemiman" and his lady Tracy for stopping by. There was plenty of food and drink. Some brutal volley-ball and some horse shoes. Weather was great except maybe a little hott!!! I hope a few more will join us for our next trip to the strip on June 17th.
