Mac Tool US Nationals in Indy, who's going?

Erik and I are heading out to see BrianG and Julz on Friday and will be there through Sunday. We plan on going to the Mac Tool Nationals on Saturday. Anyone else going to be in the area?

I fly in Thursday night and leave Tuesday morning. I'll be at the track everyday.

NHRA provides a hospitality tent for its members at all national events. The tent has TVs and refreshments and is a nice place to get out of the sun. All that is required is that you bring your membership card. Members are allowed to bring in their guests so if you don't have a membership give me a call or pm and I can get ya in. Just keep the arm band on cause its good for the entire event. They also have drawings for some pretty kewl prizes, starting line pass where you can meet jmatt, tix to other national events, toys etc.

Look for the guys prepping the burnout box for each pass. There's four of us. The ones pushing the brooms and spraying the water. We work 2 hours on, 2 hours off. I'm the biggest fattest of the four - easily.

Figure out which one I am, then say hello when I go on break. I usually sit in my car for a couple minutes to cool off, then find my way into the stands to kick back and watch.

You can't miss me. So please - come introduce yourselves and say hello.

I actually live just up the road in Lafayette and will be making my first trip on Sat. Would like to see Garlits run just to say I did. I want to check out the pits as well. Cant decide wether or not to just use ear plugs or bring my ProEars electronic muffs I use for shooting.

What, no suite tickets?

My son is going to be thrilled when he asks "So Dad who did you meet?" My response You'll never guess. I hung out with the waterbox guy!!!

It was great but its raining on the folks down there today. I have lots of pics Im uploading to photobucket and I will post a link to check them out. Got to sit in a new camaro and it the interior really sucks. I didnt know how bad it was till got in it.
