GGR thats what im saying. DA was talkin we should make your own forum for the Midwest. LX has this one 300 has one. I set up windy city. There's just to much.

So far, this is the best, (unless fo course you are tracking a car during manufacture, then mylxinfo). Srt8oc seems to get only a few posts a day, and SRT seems to be more of an SRT4 than anything else. So lxforums is home

my thought was to have a main local site (not the windy city one lol, sorry ) for all the lxs. and to include more than just chicago. im just going by what i have seen work in the past. on any large board there is always a regional section, but they hardly ever get any use. ls1tech, one of the largest f-body sites around has 53,000 members (im like member 20 ) and the local section only gets a couple posts a day and cz28.com has 58K members and 2 posts in the last 10 days in the regional section. if you want any type of midwest lx club to get off the ground, that is the starting point imo. take it for what its worth, doesnt really make a difference to me

Whats wrong with Windy city it free and I havent see anyone else do anything localy. I've been tring since these cars came out to get a club going and last saturday was the first time that you should up or anyone other then myself Damon and Craig and Gary.
Give it time people will come around.

well, for one, ezboards suck i had a couple going at one time. the ads suck and you just dont have the features of the ubb/vbb boards.

i agree about waiting and time will tell. another thing to take into account though is that while the cars (fbodys) have been around for sometime before local clubs started appearing....lets not forget it happened around the time that the internet started getting big and everyone had access to it (mfba created in 98/99 i think). not everyone and their mother runs some type of webboard from their couch at home.

not trying to step on toes, just give what ive seen.

i think one way to help the regional boards on this site is to get them out of their subcatagories and put each region on the main forum page...that way we can see if theres a new topic and what it is. i wont go wandering into a section unless i see theres new posts...hard to tell the way it is setup now.

Yea, I was at the playoff game they lost to Washington the year after they won the Superbowl too... Payton's last game... I am best watching from the suburbs!

Actually I was not at the Bears game, I was visiting the GF's parents and was at the airport almost the whole game... HONEST!

I dont understand your coment about couches and mothers. Whats that got to do with not wanting less places to look for info on local M&G's.
EZ is just that EZ AND FREE. I for one am not givin money when there is this place right here.
If you use the New posts button you would see the New posts and you wouldnt have to hunt.

Ither way this is a mote point untill there are more then 5 people.

hmmm, never tried the "new posts" button before. that could be dangerous lol. i usually tell whats new from the little highlighted icons....you cant see the regional ones unles you open the regional section first.

i didnt get the 8 :( the lady never called me. looks like the zoomers deal might fall through too :(. maybe it was just destined to stay how it is. my biggest gripe is the transmission and handling....both of which i cant change at this time. the speed is ifine for a daily driver. i have the race car if i wanna go fast

Roy you nailed it on the head. Thats way we dont need other sites there TO MAny. Windy city was that i was just messin around after 300 talk came out. I Had no idea it would still be there after the trial 30days. So i just post to myself evey once and while just incase we do need it some day. I have been with EZ since it started and if you pay for it it's not that bad. But im not spening the money now.
