    Thumbs down Chicagoland Dealership Closures

I'm a little bummed that both Richard Chrysler in St. Charles and Bill Kay in Downers Grove are both closing.. Both were cool to me and I'm not sure where I'll have to drive to if I ever need to pick up a part..

    Here's the complete list: http://www.chicagotribune.com/busine...57299.htmlpage

I'm not sure that's true about Napelton... Napelton group was listed, they have alot of stores.

Not sure the list is always store specific... if it is, good for them!

Bettenhausen and SouthOak made it I was told the local list two weeks ago and it panned out just as I was told... so I am thinking this is not a shock to anyone in management at any of these dealers.

Matt- Ziegler survives- they were nice to work with when I bought my mom's 300-C, and she's very happy with the service department. Feeny is also still around, and I have no complaints about them, either.

AMEN to that! The service department at Richard Chrysler, Mike in particular, were awesome! I bought my '06 R/T there just in October. The used car manager there is a good friend of mine. I'm calling there tomorrow to find out where he and Mike are going.

I'll have to look into those.. Are they local, or no?

I'll tell ya one thing, it'll be a cold day in hell before I roll back into Rousche again.

Yeah, I'm still bummed.. I thought something was up the last time I was in there, which was just last week. The entire service bay was empty, and you know how big that place is...

They were really cool with me to let me hang out with them back there and mess with my tune while they helped me with some flashes and the starscan following the flood. Really good guys, and it's unfortunate to see the good guys come in last...

The guys at Feeny are pretty cool. They seem to be pretty cool with doing applicable warranty work on modded cars. Though they won't touch the powertrain of a modded car for warranty work, and I don't really blame them for that. I have had conversations with them about mods and according to the service manager they do a fair amount of work on modded wranglers so they are familiar with the culture and attitudes that go along with it and try to work with the customer and not screw them.

Feeny is in Elgin and with all the North Suburban dealers around me I still take the time to drive all the way out there 1)because I bought it there 2) they know me now 3)they seem to do good work.

I just hope the Napelton Group includes those bastards on Western up on the north side. Im not sure if theyre all the same, but that particular stealership succcccccccks...I still like Thomas Dodge down in Highland, IN the most...great prices compared to Chi-town dealerships...and I found out yesterday they will be staying open, but all their other stores are gone.
Politically correct is for people too scared to say what they really think.
