4th of July BBQ Michigan
Hey guys, im stationed out in california but am road tripping back to michigan in end of june begining of July. I am gonna try to put together a 2nd of July BBQ (weekend and not intruding on the 4th's festivities) Just trying to get a feel for where it should be and maybe any activities. I live directly next to rogelio aguilera and will be getting him involved in the planning when the dates get closer. But for now throw me some ideas. I'm thinking more of a family oriented BBQ, just sit around with the cars and some good food and tell stories and light off some fireworks. If anyone gots any ideas, let me know

My family is a huge horseshoe family. I can bring a few sets of stakes and horseshoes, so anywere with an open level area i can turn into a horseshoe pit. If there is enough people i'll organize a tournament.
Also if there is no grilles , no worries, i'm sure a few of us can bring our own grilles if needed. Maybe even a fry cooker!

i dont know. we might need a versatile vehicle that can fit a grill, a cooler and 4 passengers comfortably. do they make a car that can do all this?
do you have a park in mind createdbyone?

i figured we would survey where everyone lives and the convience factor. I mean there are not to many good parks by us (riverview/trenton) so anyone can make suggestions and we can map n go it. We will first see who's in and who's out i guess. we still got time

Just an idea for a park.....
Heritage Park:
Heritage Park is located on the west side of Farmington Road between Ten and Eleven Mile Roads. Currently available at this 211-acre park are 4.5 miles of trails for hiking and nature study. In the winter these trails are used for cross-country skiing, and ski rental is available on weekends. A large picnic area is located at the north end of the park. It includes a group picnic shelter, youth playground, in-ground grills, two sand volleyball courts, an in-line hockey rink and six horseshoe pits. The picnic shelter is available on a "first-come" basis, but may be reserved in advance for a nominal fee. During the winter, the department maintains the pond near Farmington Road for ice skating. Also located in Heritage Park are the Visitor Center, Day Camp, Nature Center and Studio-Stables buildings.
Here is a map I maid

Beats my park by 3800+ acres, lol. I do love kensington, last I've been there was almost 2 years ago. That would be a great place for a get together. Any one up for golf?
