Tinkering in the shop, today, and made a custom button, for my hazard switch bank.

Easy horsepower... LOL.

Looks good, though :)

The tester is backlit by white led's.... the one in the car is lit with red led's, to match the rest of the lights.

The logo will be white, and the backlight can be: RED, GREEN, BLUE, YELLOW, ORANGE, WHITE, PURPLE, FURIOUS FUSCIA, TEAL, AQUA... You name it, I'll do it.

If you have an early Switch bank, with a BLANK first button, in your SRT8 (Charger), I'll mod yours for $35, shipped :)

The logo will be white, and the backlight can be: RED, GREEN, BLUE, YELLOW, ORANGE, WHITE, PURPLE, FURIOUS FUSCIA, TEAL, AQUA... You name it, I'll do it.

I can even make it so the LED cycles through various RGB colors, on its own. LOL.

EDIT: IIRC, the challengers have one, or two blank buttons. If you have an SRT Challenger, and want this... let's talk :)

I was checking out your work and was wondering if you could and the words "Beast" "Mode" to the two deleted spaces between my hazards and make it so that the LED cycles through various RGB colors on its own? The attached picture is not mine but I have the same set up in my 2006 Dodge Charger R/T. What would the cost be? Thanks!

I have the blank spot but no srt. Would u be able to make it something else

Would be cool to have that light on when ESP is off to simulate Sport mode in the 2nd gens.

I actually wouldn't imagine that being to hard to do

I've modded switches with an MDS light, for the RT's. I think it would be very similar.

Hey Bob,

I've very interested in this for my Magnum RT, in reverse so that the MDS light comes on when the MDS is off - as in some WOT, sport mode. I've deleted the rear wiper so from what I've read I should have two buttons available for lighted goodness. Do you have an R/T screen like you do for SRT?

Additionally, This thread has gotten me thinking about modding my entire center stack with custom lighting, but I'm concerned about the contrast of the other lights on the dash (Speed'o, headlight/foggs, etc.)
Can I get your insight on this, as well as a est. quote on a mod like this please??

Yeah but while I have an R/T Magnum with the blank spot, my SRT 300 does not otherwise that switch would've already been on its way. Sweet minor mod Bob.

If you can figure out the pins to have it lit when using the NoESP I'm in. Problem is the switch I have turns the passenger air bag off constantly.

EDIT- to be clear I swapped my Magnum switch (with rear wiper) for one like you used since I did the wiper delete. However the pins are set up differently.

It's cool.

Like I said, I'm 99% sure I can modify the board to run a constant light, where the passenger airbag light is... for any use that we can get a signal for :)

I'll have to check on this, tonight, or this week. I'm working on a 2014 Challenger interior in Purple, right now, and have to get that wrapped up first :)

Lots of questions about this mod. One thing to remember... these are static buttons... covers, not push buttons, so they will just light up, nothing else.

I MAY be able to take signals from other things, to make the light turn on, but that's not a $25 mod. LOL.

Love all the input.

Keep it coming :)

So... I spent some time in the workshop, this evening and was able to mod the newer style Challenger/Charger switch bank, with the two blank button covers, so that both banks light up, with the panel lights. This will effectively bypass the passenger airbag light circuit and turn the light on, full time, so the button cover stays lit :)

Each scenario will be different, as there are several revisions to this circuit card that the Chrysler group has blessed us with. LOL.

What it DOES mean, is that I can now offer this mod to EVERYONE with Gen1 LX and LC vehicles, so long as you don't care about losing the passenger airbag light, because, for Magnum and 300, that's the button cover I will mod, for you guys :)

Charger, 300, Magnum, Challenger... step on in!

I actually found my spare button bank without the OCS light on it so this mod is something I'm really thinking about.

Okay... I talked with my screen printer, today. He will make me a custom screen with a few different words, or logos, on it.

So far, stock words (logos) are:

SRT
HEMI
Super Bee
Super Bee Image
MOPAR "M"

I also have a couple of custom word requests, in the SRT font. Those I can throw on a screen, too.

Who else has some ideas? I would like to load this screen up, with some repeatable words, or logos, so I can keep the cost down.

If I get 5 commitments, I'll get the custom screen done :) Once I have that in hand, I can turn your custom switch bank in a couple of days.

Reply to this thread, with your wish list, or PM me.

Thanks!

Bob

Look's sharp!

I did my MDS light the same.
