    $38,000 car $3.00 battery .

what can you do if your fob battery dies when you are out on the road ? I removed the battery from the fob , then the car does not detect the fob . seems un dependable to me .and there is something in the owners manual that confuses me , it states something about if the cars battery dies the fob will be locked in the ignition . WTF ! says nothing about starting the car if the fobs battery is dead .
    some insight please .

Here is the insight, if your flob dies, remove the key from it, unlock the door. Hold the big end of the key to the Stop/start button and start the car. There is an RF ID chip in the big end of the key.
If you don't know where the key is, look at your flob, see the silver end, there is a release leaver and the key pulls out.

A dead flob will never strand you. So a $30,000 car is never disabled by a $3 battery.

Turn the fob around and push the starter button with the plastic end, not the key end.

My fob battery died on my R/T within 6 months of buying the car brand new...had to learn that the hard way. My Scat Pack is almost a year old...and I'm swapping batteries tomorrow just so it doesn't happen on this one.

If you have remote start, you can always tell when the fob battery is getting weak...you have to start getting closer to the car to start it lol
