I'm going to have to find a deserted road to practice on, we normally only get 2-3 passes in an 8 hour trip to the track.

Guys it takes some tinkering to find what works best for you.

I have never had real good results from going up high against the converter, *MY* car has always like 2000 with the Protorque and 1600 ish with the stocker.

You have to spend time doing this to see what works best for you and your ride.

Erik is also very very good at flashing up on the 2nd bulb and getting his target rpm.

Hold the RPM up too long and the computer will pull timing.

That is my problem, I have a hard time getting my RPM right while still watching the tree.

Quit watching the tree.... Unless you're racing against someone, forget about the reaction time and focus on your 60's. Let the light turn green, and THEN go for it!

there is a very fine line to it. im sure im holding my RPM up too long, which might help me out a bit. other than that, this is what i do, roll into the throttle progressively.

I listened to Erik at ATCO with this very same advise and got some of my best 60' times . And that was my first runs with a new 2800 stall TC . My problem remains consistancy . It requires a TON of practice that only a track rental / or a non crowded track (run after run after run ) can give you . I even watched him demonstrate in my car a few times...lol . I need shafts and DR's if i want to ever acheive consistancy so i am watching the 09 r/t shaft thread very closely and pray for good results . 500 dollar shafts beat 2K every day....... . If they hold up of course . Always thankful for the help .....Great stuff Erik .

After lots of practice and Erik's teaching I've learned to hear and feel when the car is in the zone.
