Hey everyone,

Moving out of the dorms as of today. Found a really nice townhome over on bell for the same price with a 2car garage, patio, granite countertops etc. I am a little short on furniture though as the dorms were furnished. The only thing I have is an A/V rack for the xbox and a couch haha. So, if any of you have any extra furniture, or are thinking of upgrading let me know. The place came with all appliances so I am good there.

What I need:

- 2 queen sizes beds. mattress and frame work, or just mattress even.
- 2 chests of drawers.
- 3 computer desks. Looking for one to be a corner executive type.
- small dining room table. 4 people max
- coffee table
- TV stand big enough for a 46"
- desk lamps
- standing floor lamps.
- anything else you think a new home would need

What would be cool:

-Ping pong table
-Small outside patio set
-gas bbq

Free would definately be nice, as I am way short on cash with having to pay security deposit and Fall tuition coming up. But I am willing to pay if the price is right and can pick anything up.

If you have anything please email a description, price, and pics to rjrice@asu.edu or PM me on here.

Thanks everyone!!!

-Richie

Unfortunately we moved about 3 months ago and cleared out all of the stuff that we had extra of :-(
You should try www.craiglist.com though as they have a lot of affordable second hand furniture being sold and sometimes given away there.
Congrats on the new place though it sounds great. If I hear of anyone interested in getting rid of any of the items you listed I will let you know.

thanks johnny! I have been pokin around on craigslist but nothing has caught my eye too much.

Also, if anyone happens to work at a furniture store...that would be cool also. I have lots of credit just really low on the cash reserves hehe.

like any good college town there's gotta be some salvation army or any other kind of thrift stores that give pretty good deals used furniture. I would check those out.

Also, from my experiences in college, furniture is best found when it come time to go home for the summer. You can snag some really nice stuff just because some people are too lazy, or just don't have the space to move it. So keep that in mind when school's out in 9-10 months. :)

Doggone it Richie! I got rid of most of my stuff a few months ago. Sorry!

Since you are living on Bell, there are tons of second hand furniture stores on Bell Rd between 32nd St and Cave Creek or you could always try the Goodwill store (there's one at Union Hills & 7th st) Good luck! :)

I would help if I could..but alas, I have a 17 yr old and a 20 yr old still living at home...(I'm waiting for him to leave so I can turn his room into my fitness room?..yeah right..hehehehe)....

Anyway, sorry...I'm not much of a packrat so we either sell it straight out or give it away....will let you know if anything comes up.....

I know how you feel, I'm still stuck with the 'rents because of this car! Good luck... I agree w/ whoever suggested Goodwill and Salvation Army. You can find some pretty sweet stuff in those places!

Good thing the Magnum back seat is so cushy!

Two other places to check: CraigsList and Freecycle.

Or friends who are getting married; the female of the species often dumps the male's perfectly serviceable futon, coffee table, cinder block bookshelf...

Good luck, this should be a fun time!
