Does anyone get this? I will be at a light the car will be idling well then out of the blue it like dies but it is still on. All the lights on the cluster come on. If I give it gas it does nothing but the motor is on but the idle is dead. It like goes out of timing but really low and wont move. If I turn the key and pull it out and really fast put it back it turns on and runs well again. The dealer had no clue. And of course it did not did it when they test drove it. THIS BLOWS!!!!!!! :blam:

I think this is a TCM issue? if you get a OBDII code reader from your local auto parts you might be able to get an error code? maybe it's a fuel issue like MR.iNCREDIBLE has?

does it only happen with a full tank of gas?

No it happens regardless of fuel level. The dealer made me feel like I was nuts. I don’t get a code after Stitch. Should I or could I drive with OBDII installed to see if it pops up. It sucks 1st torque converter now this. I never had issues like this with my Cadi.

I'm not sure? but I would think that you could, or as soon as it happened put the reader on to catch the code. How long did you drive it before you went to the dealer? You might have cleared the code by driving it for a while. Sounds like you have MR.i s problem? something in the tank or fuel line?

Does not sound like mine. Mine gives a quick ping and then I loose power. The car is still on just will not respond. All the dash lights come on. The idle goes very low but still on. If I turn the switch of and on it works sometimes but if I turn the car off and pull the key out and back in fast it starts right up. It then goes right back to normal. I think mine is electrical and not a fuel issue.

That sucks big time... When did the problem start? One day next week give me a call and we will throw her on the StarScan and see what we come up with.

does the car move at all when it's doing this? did the dealer put it on the star scan?

It started a few weeks ago. I got the car new it has not given me any issues till I hit 70,000. It does move but like a car way out of timing.

Thanks Jay

I have the same problem with my 2.7 Charger. It did it tonight, and has done that a couple of times. Took it to the dealership bout a month ago and it did it pulling into the dealership they couldnt find anything on the scan. I think it is the cars tellin us we should have gone with the hemi or they are haunted one or the other

Ya I feel mine is crazy. Today we drove a lot and it did not do it once. One of the guys on this thread gets the same thing and he has a hemi so it just sucks no matter what we have.

SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME....

ive had my car since feb 07 and it has died 6 times and the dealer says they cant find the problem, its not throwing any codes...do they ever work on cars or do they just assume the starscan is the all knowing tool....also my tranny slips...but they told me i was imagining that as well..im gonna use a different dealer.

dealership morons man.

If the dealership can't make any money that is the responds you will get all the time... There has to be something going on that we can figure out to help you guys. USCTHUG I was waiting for something to happen yesterday but you and the car looked great rolling thru the canyons. I am also glad nothing happen while we were on the cruise though. I wouldn't wont that to have spoiled your day.

I worked at a chrysler dealer and we had an 05 magnum 2.7l come in and it sounds like what you described and it turned out being the gas pedal. the sensors in the pedal lost communication with the computer which threw it into "limp in" mode. It happened twice to her and then wouldnt communicate at all and had to replace it.
