Did You Look Into The "outter" Spring Compressor? Its The Setup That Attaches To The Outside Of The Spring Instead Of Going Through The Moddle Of It...

I used the ones at my dads shop :)
If you have another car I would suggest taking it to a shop and have them do the spring and bumper swap.
BTW - if your refering to the backs I dropped the rear cradle to get the springs out.

Last car I dropped, you didn't need the compressor to install the new springs.

I was referring the the fronts and I just used my sisters car and having a shop install the springs on my eibach dampers. Hey Rob how hard is it to do the back springs? I am goin to change them next with a sway bar, also.
But I am gonna get a quote first on the install. Anyone have any install quotes for rear springs and sway bars?

How did you that? I am guessing you put in a whole new assembly. I have to remove the old springs so I can make use of the stock top hat.
Thanks for your help so far guys!!!!

You can usually get them from Checker Auto Parts...they have the kind you need. Just give them a deposit, and they give you the tool. Return the tool and get your $$$ back.
However, I have my own personal set seeing has I do a lot of suspensions.

The rears :
Undo the brake line brack holder
Undo the 2 nuts for teh shock mount
Undo the Sway Bar End Links & Frame mounts
Put jack under rear dif ( make sure to have a jack pad on the jack cup )
Now mark the areas around the cradle bolts with white out or wite paint so you can get them lined up when your reassemble. At least 2 marks per
Remove bolts
Lower jack slowly look for anything hanging up
Drop it about 6" and the springs shoudl just about fall out, swap rubbers, swpa bump stopc in shocks ( if needed ) ( or swap shocks if you have the tow package ).
Reverse steps, and before tighting the cradle bolts align the cradle to the wite makes you used, lso ANTI sieze the bolts and start by hand.
You should be good.
Not real hard if you have the stuf handy to do it.

I took the springs to da shop and they said the stock hat wouldn't fit within the springs. And the rubber mount right below the top hat, that came with the box doesn't fit over the mount on the top hat. What da hell is goin on?? Is the top hat of a charger and the top hat of a magnum different? I thought all that stuff was the same? I know this is all confusing but basically I am trying to mount Hotchkis Lowering springs on Eibach Dampers. If you need a better explaination just let me know.

I think everything is okay now. My friend and I got the fronts on. We will work on the rear springs, sway bar and add my borla later this week or another time. For some reason I think they forgot to work on it for me and the shop was closing so they were making a cheap excuse. They had the springs for over 4 hrs and it took us bout 30 min to get things right. We didn't use a spring compressor though.

Can't believe all the trouble I had just from the missing parts, lack of tools etc..I have helped friends with lowering cars and it was harder than this but definetly got done alot quicker. Well the front is all done and now gonna do the rear. How long does it take for them to settle and just wondering for those with hotchkis springs are the front and rear springs interchangeable?

I just hope you guys can help me out.
1) Are the front and rear springs for the Hotchkis Lowering srpings interchangeable? The weren't labled and guessing how they were shipped to me, sprongs on front dampers and springs and rear dampers is how I installed it
2) Was I wrong to think and listen to someone else that eibach dampers fit on a charger r/t and the magnum r/t
3) I didn't see a bump stop in the box for the rear so I assumed it was already installed in the dampers. If there were no bump stops in the dampers what would happen?
I will try to take pics but the rear tires are actually tucked when I let the jack down...ha but the exhaust sounds good...NEED HELP ASAP!!!!

Fronts and rears are very differnt
The Dampner/Shocks are the same, factory maybe valved a bit differnt but I dont think the eibachs are for differnt cars in the LX line. There is a Tow Package Shock, standard shock in the RT's they look differnt.
It would allow the shock to over collapse and maybe blow the shock out.
