Hey guys, I need some help bad. On my way home today I ended up hittin a curb sideways. When I got home my abs and esp bas light came on. I checked the code and got U1417. Now since that my nav is way off, steering wheels off center, and I have no abs. Any help would really be appreciated as this is my only car and I need it to transport my son around. Thanks

U1417-IMPLAUSIBLE LEFT WHEEL DISTANCE SIGNAL RECEIVED

The PCM gets an implausible signal over the CAN C circuit from the ABS Module or FCM (NON-ABS). The circuit is continuously monitored.

Possible Causes
VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR FAULT ACTIVE IN ANTI-LOCK BRAKE MODULE
CAN C BUS CIRCUIT SHORTED
CAN C BUS CIRCUIT OPEN
ABS MODULE
PCM


Sounds like you busted a wheel speed sensor on impact, along with tossing your car way out of alignment. You may very well have bent a control arm or two and/or a tie rod... honestly, if you hit that hard you need to have it looked at before you can be sure it's safe to keep driving. I'm not sure why the nav would be way off though.

That sucks, I just had my tie rod ends and steering rack replaced. Any idea how much a new wheel speed sensor is?

Dude you have a lot more issues than just a wheel speed sensor to worry about. As for the price, I haven't the slightest.

Sounds like the car is 'fubarred.'

Well, I had all that work done 2 months ago, when my car was under warranty. a few techs at work said its probably just the sensor, so I'm takin it in friday and lookin at that. Hopefully it takes care of it, if not good bye 300...
