With luck it can be popped. Otherwise, MSRP is around $650 unpainted, can get for around $500.

Sup Guys,

Just went outside and took some pictures. I got some of it outside, and in the garage.

The cheapest I found at Pick-a-Part is 500, and its already yellow, but I dont know if it will fit correctly.

OMG I am so upset...

It will cost you about $300 because your not going to replace the whole door. All your going to do is call dodge(or a good bodyshop) and tell them to ordor you a door skin AKA just the outside door panel not all the insides. I had both of my pass. sides replaced for $900(parts/labor). Dont sweat it its not that bad it dosent look like you bent the door so your good.

hold on, just the skin is 300 bucks or is it 300 for the skin and paint?

^^ installing a skin takes a lot more labor than just bolting on a new door, ask your body shop guy which he thinks would be cheaper.

Jweezy,

unless your insurance deductible is outrageous then put in a claim and pay the deductible and get it done right....

and if you are carrying insurance with more than a $500 Deductible ($250 is better) go check yourself and fix that...

in most cases you are not going to find repairs to your car under $1000 so why would you have that as a deductible?

this issue is case and point, so you saved what? $250 a year, maybe $400 on insurance going with a higher deductible, now you have an out of pocket close to that...

you have a good paying Gov't job, learn to manage your $$ a little better, it will pay off BIG in the long run.....

My dad's 5 rules, all of which have served me well:

1. don't ever pay rent that cost more than you make in one paycheck

2. don't ever buy a car that cost more than you make in a year (6 months is better)

3. don't ever buy a house that cost more than you make in 5 years...

4. don't skimp on insurance for house/fire/theft/car/natural disaster, cause it will hurt you in the long run...

5. if you can afford it, anytime you make a major purchase on credit (excluding housing), deposit the same amount in a high yield account earning more in interest than you are paying on the credit, if the earned interest falls below what you are paying on the credit, cash in the account and pay off the credit..

if you can't afford to do that, perhaps you don't need to make that large purchase..

yeah #5 was very workable in the 60s, 70s, and 80s... today not so much..

but that's why we have so many foreclosures and bankruptcies and bad credit card debt.

everyone spends and spends and spends without considering what the end result of using all that credit will be..

i'm guilty of it too, to a degree...

sorry for the hijack Jweezy

IDK about all that the charged me $309 for my skin but i had the whole car repainted but a new door would mean you need to rehang it. If i were you just look into the door skins.

Justin, you dont need a whole door, you need a outside door skin.

Goto a shop and get a quote for the work.

I speak in terms of net, because that is the reality of what $$ you have in your hands...

for me I am paid weekly so 1 paycheck for me is equal to a Studio or 1 bedroom apartment in Los Angeles..

good thing I own a home free and clear (no mortgage)...

Getting a new skin installed would be the best option for you I think. A used door would be more because it includes the glass and handle, etc...
Or you can buy the new OEM shell and door the labor yourself and just have it painted at the body shop to save money.

Hey Jweezy, Just did a quick estimate for you, $801.19

I would figure to repair the door panel, refinish the front door and blend the paint on the rear door.

You are better off repairing the door than replacing the panel because you retain all the factory corrosion protection. If you replace the door you will be spending more than you need to and will also need to blend the fender for a good match

Good luck...

:roll:It sucks when those poles just jump right out and get you

HEMIDON, is this for a door itself? Or for the skin and getting it painted.

Jweezy

oh, for everyone about the insurance deductible is $500

Jweezy
01-16-2008, 07:41 AM
I would have my insurance pay for it, but I dont want it on my record. And they be able to raise it. Its so low now, I dont want to mess it up.

You beat, usually everyone is looking at the car, pointing and all. but now I feel like they are looking straight at the door.

Only thing with this is I know that they probably got it off a damaged Daytona, and I am unsure if the fitment will be correct. Henges may be bent, door may not shut correctly.
