Just wondering if anyone else has had any issues with their stereo going crazy? Everything was working fine until this morning....
The CD was playing as usual but then I noticed the main face flickering away like it was being scanned on a pc when you defrag it....pretty weird!
Does this mean I need a new stereo, or is it just something in the electronics going nuts? Didnt find any codes either.

The stereo in my 05 RT Magnum will about once every couple months turn on but have no volume, Turn off the key and next key cycle , its working again! Also the stereo in my Ram about every few months, I lose the Sirrius channel, just get loud static, next key cycle it's fine. Probably shoud get it replaced under warantee, but I hate to have dealer tear into the dash when there's no rattles or squeeks now.

lol... now it is working fine again. Funny though...I had parked my car for a month and then brought it back on the road and my door locks wouldnt work.... now the stereo is playing games... not sure what is happening. Thank god for Extended warranty though. I`ll wait and see if it happens again and then I`ll book her in for servicing.
Thanks for your input!:beerchug:

XKWIZIT where you been hiding out?! Sounds like a little bug in the stereo that may or may not resurface. If you can get a StarScan on it these crazy cars store all kinds of info that doesn't throw up an obvious code. I put a CD in mine once that it didn't like and spit back out. I had a StarScan hooked up to it and was just going through the menus checking it out and there was a Red warning on a menu item, so I hit that and scrolled down and hit the next one that said there was a problem with the audio system...sure enough, HAL had logged that it had ejected an unplayable disk....hope your problem is no problem at all but just a hiccup...

Thats the funny thing Jaak, it wasnt cold at all. I was going to park my car for the winter this year so I took it off the road and left it in my back yard- but I hated driving my husbands Blazer, so I brought it back on the road again. Two days later I noticed my door locks werent working...they would make the click sound but nothing. After driving it for a few days... the locks began working again and no problems since... then while driving to work my cd was playing normal and all of a sudden I see my led controls on the stereo front start going nuts.... but CD was still playing perfectly. Everything is working fine now....
I think the car was pissed at me for taking her off the road and driving that chevy! ;)
Cad.... I have been absent due to a lot of O/T at work, then my father took ill and passed away while in a coma after a brain hemmorage /stroke. I`m still trying to deal with things....
