Question for those with aftermarket intakes?

I'm taking delivery of my RT this week, and the first plan is to change up the intake. For those of you that already have done this I am a little concerned about the possibility of sucking in water. I live in western Washington and things can get pretty wet bombing down the freeway with spray off of Semi's and what not. Should I be concerned about this, and are some intakes better then others at preventing such a thing happening?

as long as you don't have a CAI 2 inches off of the ground and/or use a bypass valve you should be ok.I would well, i WILL try out the airaid intake before considering a cai, for many reasons. First, it's very easy to install. second much safer and less risk of getting waterlogged. third is ease of cleaning the filter. With a CAI you are going to be cleaning the filter more ofter as it's closer to external air. it is going to be more of a pain to clean it also.

i just put the AIRAID on this week and had our first rain storm yesterday.
was on the freeway for 1.5 hours with the spray and down pour.
got home and checked and the airbox was bone dry .
put all your worries behind you . and injoy the mod.
