That's right!, a last minute trip to Sacramento Raceway nets some kickars times for the three amigos. What you are about to see ain't record runs...........nope, but we're fricking happy

I'll fill in the details tomorrow, gotta go night night now.

First off our buddy Oz netted a 12.4 today on street tires!:pepper:

Srgstnko from the GSRT boards ripped a 12.050 on juice (real close, let me get it exact tomorrow)

Trojan in his bad to the bone, professionally built, stroked and tuned "392 from hell" laid done these (005)..................oh so close bro!!!.

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b237/Hemified/trojanslips.jpg

Me in my make shift SRT was almost there (014), but just couldn't make it happen.

It's been a long couple of days, more tomorrow.

Those were great runs all around. Goes to show what fun a road trip for so air can do. Trojan got soo close to it first time out too. Put a few miles breakin on that 392 and it will be there in bad weather.

Can you say "missed it by that much"? It was killing us, I was second in line when the
racing started. 1st run of the day I posted a 12.18 with a 1.75 60'. Cam's had that look in his eyes, like todays the day. We made quite a few pass's, solid low 12's. Then Cam busted a 12.050, I was like dang! I got some work to do. Couple more pass's and I ran a 12.038, I only got 2 minutes of glory though as Cam went and ran a 12.006 followed up by a 12.005.
I went back out and ran a 12.007 to finish the day. The only thing I didnt think of was to hit the boys room to unload a lb or 2 of extra weight. It was a very exciting day.
Cam and I ran heads up a couple times. I couldnt pull on him, He was out front cuz he got me off the line and he never pulled away but I could'nt catch'm either. My best trap speed was 114. My best 60 was a 1.694. Last run of the day I said this is it lets get r done, I load up the conv to like 3k and let her rip. got the 1.694 60' and ran a 12.9 at 89 mph? go figure. Turns out I never got traction and ran the entire 1/4 spinning, it was pretty sick. I think a 12.99 @ 89mph is pretty funny. :beerchug:

Well just for the sake of argument, I'll be looking up the DA for each run just so this can be settled.

Which intake, well lets just say it wasn't the dual throttle bodies. But it was something very special. :Na_Na_Na_Na:

BTW everyone, in a nutshell. Yes I removed my passenger seat and rears. But remember, my hood weighs 70lbs and I installed two boxes of Dynamatt in the back, so it's pretty much a weight swap. I also installed my stock RT wheels up front and am running the Borbet rims with the Hoosiers. There was no hokis pokis with what I did. My cam is a mild 268, stil running my BnG from almost a year ago. 100 octane fuel.

IMO, my gains/strenghs were had with my heads and the wild intake manifold that Stu and I put together. We worked very hard to put together a complete package by matching all the componants.

When you west coasters get good DA #s it's a double whammy considering that the dry conditions would contribute to great traction.

Often here on the "fast" coast, (BBB term) low DA #s are often accompanied by poor traction.

ROFL!

You know what I'm thinking?

I'm just wondering out loud what made a cam / heads 6.1 run a 12.0; thats an amazing time no?

Our typical cars runing heads / cam run about 12.4 and dyno at about (+/-)450 rwhp tuned.

I hope this Meet-n-da-Middle thing happens so we can get all this cars consolidated and we can measure all these different combos on one track.

Nice runs guys.......:thumbs_u:

Well not like your thinking, but yes, I have done several things to fine tune my baby. I've been looking at the 6.1 manifold for over a year now. You have no idea how many 16oz thoughts went into this.

The manifold I ran at Shindig, I had flowed to start the experiment. Well that worked pretty good. So for the next step, Stu and I spent many hours talking about the where's, what's and do ya suppose? and after all that work was complete, we coated her innerds. Then I built a brand new intake system that spent many a run on the dyno proving what worked and what didn't.

Other then that I hit the track that day with a little over a 1/4 tank of 100 octane, we all ran the same gas that day. I did change my CAI filters as one of them had gotten wet on the way up, the other seemed fine. Paid great attention to fluid levels and crossed my fingers. I think the later is what made the difference.

But like T said, the quaif and DR's made up for my lack of straight line launch skill..............................god ya gotta love a expensive cheat!. :racing::mrgreen:

Ya really wanna know??, it's the intake system I developed, plain and simple. It's worth 15 -20 across the curve.

But I'd like to add a disclaimer too. This new system will work well on a good breathing motor, but I made to work with a killer breathing motor. And work it did. Several guys have seen it, but remember, beauty is only skin deep, she has a personnality too.

NICE JOB GUYS!

It was the window washer fluid Im telling you, We filled them up cuz it was raining, I new it was a mistake.
I actually have a hole drilled in the side of my reservoir with a hose so I can only fill it to barely above the pump. Pulling the lower front plastic piece makes this an easy permanent weight loss mod.

For clean freakos like some of us, hell you could just remove the damn thing. :)

Right now as I speak he's working a second shift as a carpenter.
