so I traded in my 2007 for a 2008 today. It's a base 300. It came with a uconnect and an Ipod connector cable. I just don't know where the cable connects to the can. Can I get some help? This i factory connector to base ipod cable(not a headset cable).

Whaaaaa? So, you mean it has the wide flat connector on it to plug into the slot on the bottom of an iPod, it's not just an audio jack? If that's the case, then it's got to go into the harness behind the radio. The other end should be a bigger rectangular mother, like 22 pins or so, right?

Exactly it's a mopar part that came with my car

But it wasn't installed it's only about 8" long. I'm wondering if I have to pull the stereo and see if it plugs into that, or see if there is a harness it plugs in to behind the glovebox. I don't even know if it will work with my car, but I'm assuming so since they included it.

On those new Radios, It should be on the bottom R. hand side, under the tunning knob.

the 08's that come with the ipod wire plug in in the glove box. open the glove box and feel upwards, you should feel the end, plug it in and then plug in the ipod and leave the ipod in the glove box. you should be able to control the ipod through the radio.

Damn car companies should have been up to speed on this stuff 4 years ago! I read an article about how they have all had their head up youknowwhere as far as car electronics. Seems they are trying to make amends an speed up the process.

car companies do lack behind in in electronics, but that's because a car's design cycle is about 4 years. So when they start design with current electronics, by the time it comes out it's about 3 years out of date.
