In my old Ram I had that problem and hooked up two Optima batteries parallel and it solved it. I was pushing 2000w.

Old news though. The Orion 10k watt Magnum ran duals years ago but were too selfish to release any info on it. Would like to see pics though since Dom from Iraggi couldnt do sh!t...
As far as the 5000 watt amp, you wont. I have 6400 RMS and I have 3 Kinetik 1800s and the voltage is just fine. I wouldnt spend any money on it truthfully because my voltage only goes down to 13.4 on hard notes, but thats at 3/4 of the way due to the junk HU not supply enough output. You running the XXV-Goliath???

If the alternator can pump it out, I'd use that over extra batteries in a heartbeat. Unless you put a ton of time into the install, the batteries look like dookie just hangin' out back there. Plus they shift, plus they add (even more) weight, plus they just have to charge between uses somehow anyway.

All you need are runS of 0 gauge from the alt and from all the batteries. True that the alternator is the only way to go, but I have monitored it and the stock 160 HO one seems to do well enough with a couple batteries.
I still am not sure about these new alternators. I have a feeling the electrical will fry to a crisp being that its all computer controlled, which makes it that much more difficult to build better ones. Larger diodes are needed as well as tons of other stuff, so id be skeptical until its proven that they will work and work for the life of the vehicle. Not downing the product, but still. Its too expensive of a car to ruin.

Not my kit.
this one is on the opposite side of the stock one then you run a 4 gauge wire to the trunk were the battery is. Buy the way the stock alternator is still in the car running the system. the second one feeds 200 amps to the back battery. this way you only need one battery and that is it. no caps or anything and this kit is show quality pics are coming soon.
thanks cj.
I have two yellow tops in serious 4 caps and my lights still blink so i came up with this when i could not send the alternator in to be upgraded.

Sounds interesting. What background do you have in audio? Have you tested voltage and clamped the amps to see if youre getting more out of them with this new setup? Any other info would be sweet.
And the caps are probly what is making your lights blink. They will just tax the already taxed alternator more in high powered systems, but most people seem to use them...

That's not quite true... they tax the system more regularly (higher % of the time), but they prevent the system from seeing as high a peak load. They sort of trim off the peaks and fill in the valleys.

Ok whatever you say sir:) Either way, caps=not for me.
But I would really like to know what background you have in audio first before you advertise this product. HO.com and Iraggi couldnt make anything to better the system so how did you manage to do it?
