Most of us have reviewed the EVIC and trip computer tricks anyone wonder if the NavRadio can perform beyond its instruction manual. I have a few annoyances concerning the system such as...

1) When I filled out the DC survey they mail me I pointed this annoyance out. The due diligence warning I understand - we human beings are all stupid and we will continue to play with the unit instead of watching the road ahead. After accepting that DC have my best interests at heart and they don't want another lawsuit for the upteenth time I'm ready to take a hammer to the screen. Sooooo is there a way to circumvent the warning screen before I take out my Magnum and blow its little screen INTO a million pieces?

2) Although I am an electronics engineer by profession I subscribe to the premise that, "Read manuals, we don't need no stinking manuals", is what men do because men learn by doing without foreknowledge and we learn and retain memory FROM the mistakes that we make and correct. Try as I may I cannot figure out (simplistically) to save and store a simple location (when there is no significant road or POI just the latitude and longitude. I can do this with a cheap GPS is there is a limitation in the software?

While I couldn't agree more on those issues/nits, my personal pet peeve these days is that while the "Info" button will switch between the tag information for the current MP3, as soon as the next song comes up, the display goes right back to showing the filename!!!!

You can use the pointer to store a location ... just move it to where you want and press the enter button. It will manufacture an address it thinks you are pointing to and then you can save it.
