About a week ago my car (2006 Charger SE) started making a weird knocking/banging noise in the back. It progressively got worse, now its pretty loud and it does it as I go over small bumps or if I brake hard. After investigating, I found that the noise is coming from the right rear. If i rock the car up and down, I can hear it making that noise. Sounds like it's coming from the general area where the shock is.
As a way of adding relevant info, I'm rolling on 22"s and I just had the Eibach Pro Kit springs installed back in August. And yes, I was warned by some of you folks that the Eibachs might kill my stock shocks.
I suspect it could be that the shock is toast...but do they usually go one at a time? I'd have figured that if they went, they'd do it at the same time.
Any thoughts and/or opinions? I kinda want to have an idea of what could be wrong with it before I take it to the dealer/shop and end up needing a tub of KY after their diagnosis.
Thanks in advance!
