I'm trying to decide if a new set of Goodyear Assurance that come on some stock charger's are better than my current Michelin Pilots? Mainly rain and traction differences.

Anyone????

DO NOT GET THE GY'S!!!!! Have/had them and I hate the fact that they are rated to 70k miles and I barely got 10K out of them.
Let me add that I work for Discount Tire

Check out Tire Rack.
I put on a set of Firestone Firehawk GTs.
Like 'em so far - quiet and grippy

I had the Good Year Comfort threads that came on my 300C and they where rated 127 mph (I believe) and also are an 80K miles tire.
I had mine replaced by GY warrenty at 30K for uneaven tire ware (They paid for 1/2 cost of my purchase from Tire Rack.
Good tire in my opinion.

I have the assurance on mine now and can't wait for them to be DONE!! I have pilots on my Trep and love them (third set). It obviously does NOT have the torque issues of the Magnum (breaks loose at 65 on wet roads with SC's latest tune). The assurance is a classic Goodyear tire, can't get the high speed bad vibration out of them (IE can't get the balance right, and yes I have DECADES of experiance doing it) and thump for miles when they are cold. If you need a long life annoying tire buy the assurance, if you want a quiet good performing tire buy the pilot.

Do not buy the Comfortreads. I'm running General Grabber UHP's and they are much better and even cheaper. Comfortreads would be better suited to a V6 car.

Yup, as Formerice pointed out better for the 6 cylinder as the 8 with ANY mods will break loose at the drop of a hat.

I have them currently as well and love them. They are pretty sticky. I wanted to know what to expect switching from the pilots to GY. Sounds like I wont be though.

Thanks

The only problem I see with them is for some reason the back tires go bald pretty easy :magburno:

I wouldn't think there could be a comparison between the two.The Pilots are definitely the best choice.

I love the Michelin Pilots, I am really a big Michelin person I have always put them on all my vehicles and I never have problems out of them and they really stand behind their products. Most places always try to sell me into something else that is compatible with Michelin tires and they never are the same!!
