OK, so when I bought my Magnum a few weeks ago, it already had a set of brand new looking Falken ZE-912 tires on it mounted on the stock wheels. Anyway so Friday leaving work out in the parking lot a co-worker looks at the tires and says "I just bought those exact same tires for my girl friends car last week".

Then he starts looking at mine and says they were mounted wrong. He claims that the tires should have the "outside" label showing on the drivers side, and the "inside" label should be showing on the passenger side. Mine are showing "outside" on both sides of the car, the way I believe it should be.

So does "outside" mean the tires should all be mounted with that showing on the outside like I think, or outside showing on the left side and inside showing on the right side like he said? That doesn't make any sense to me.

I would think a rotation arrow would be there if they were actually directional tires.

Hybrid-asymmetric tread design provides superior wet traction and allows for free rotation

I am pretty sure these are not rotational tires. Yes they would have an arrow. You had them mounted right. Your friend has been smoking something.

That's exactly what I thought.:beerchug:

inside would be towards the "inside of the car"or you should only see the word outside

Hard to do a inside /ouside rotation!

My Firestone Firehawk GTs are marked 'outside' and 'inside'.

Asymmetric tread, you should only see the word 'outside' regardless of left or right side mounting.

OK....He claims that the tires should have the "outside" label showing on the drivers side, and the "inside" label should be showing on the passenger side...

if he was making only right hand turns on a track, that may be correct. for the street, you have them mounted correct.
