and what a disaster it has been. The shop used the proper rolling tool, but when he called me, all he had was bad news. Paint cracked on all four fenders...meaning they have to put some sort of textile coating with a base coat/clear coat. And he couldnt roll them completely up...just a slight angle. Hopefully it'll clear the 22's...the tires have been severly gouged from bumps on the side walls...not sure if I'll need to buy new Pirelli's...ick. Very ick. Hopefully it'll take care of the problem. Btw, they started to rub even more after installing the new camber alignment kit..approx ~$800. I thought this would prevent further issues, instead caused the problems I tried to avoid! Ugh..horrible experience. It's going to cost me another ~$385 to roll/paint the messups tommorow. This was a good learning experience...wish I went with 9.5 rears/8.5 fronts, or 9.5 all around. I'm running 10.5 rears, 9.5 fronts foose nitrous. And top things off, the cambers adjustments are greatly different from right to left...my right being in the negative to help tuck the tire in...but the rear right is slighty lower in height compared to my left. It rubs/cuts into the tire like crazy because of this. Is it possible to match camber alignments right to left? I'm prolly gonna take it to TiresPlus to see if they can do any better with camber. I'm a poor, poor dood with messed up wheels.

I have the 20" Foose and I added the Brembos and its a bit worse for me now.
From the rear of the car it looks like there is a slight offset in where the wheels line up in the fender wells. If that is built into the car you are hosed.
A few things to look into, is have them roll the car up on the alignment rack, then get under it with a good light and see how much space you have on the backside of the tires/suspention.
Then price out have some of the back pad on the wheel milled off to move the wheel in a little, I think the pad is thick enough to remove 5mm without much issue and that maybe enough to help you out a bit. I know it is going to cost some green but one it is fixed, if you leave it alone it is a 1 time expence.
If the paint cracked they didnt get it warm enough with a heat gun and or tried to roll too much at a time, the problem is they took the job abd I bet told you that the paint MAY crack which is true, but someone skilled and with the right tools could have done that without cracking the paint.
Hey good luck on getting the car sorted out.

I rolled my fenders myself after I couldn't find anyone to do it. I warmed the fender first and took alittle time to roll each one. I bet they tried to roll them in one quick swipe. I pretty sure they didn't do the right thing because I was able too and I'm no way handy with this kind of stuff!!!

WTF??!!
Man that sucks. You take it to a professional and end up getting inferior work done on your ride.
It's pretty obvious this shop has never done it before and didn't heat the paint properly. I would demand they paint it at no charge (they won't, but it may get the price down).
I rolled my fenders last weekend and everything went great. I even had some cracked paint on the front right fender from a bent lip before I rolled 'em and that didn't even get worse.
I was not able to get all four fenders rolled completely flush, but very nearly... The backs did, but I stopped short with the fronts because the inner fender was starting to pop out from behind the lip.

By the way, I now have a full kit made up (including the heat gun) for anyone who wants to rent it. $50 + shipping.
Trust yourself, not some over-priced shop who knows less than you do!
Really sorry to hear this. It is only metal, but man, what a pain.

That does suck. That is enough heartache to want to not mod. I do think the rear height is slightly different on each side from the factory. I remember a thread or discussion on this.

Hey, you think the KW V2 shocks would correct this? I'm thinking about going all out to fix this problem...I just don't want to run into MORE issues.

I had the Kw's on mine when I rolled my fenders. It will not correct the problem. No short cut there. sorry!

Bleh...I was hoping to get my fenders rolled 90 degress...instead it was 45. The reason behind this was because the plastic shroud wheel well thingamagiger would hang down, which it does.
How do you fix this? Cut it out or ignore it...I doubt the fender well would cause any issues other than rubbing on hard bumps. I need to take some photos to get a better understanding...it's kind 'weird'. Textile paint w/base coat ...looks aok from a distance but you can see a line of paint/coat on the fenders, bleh.

What was the resolution to offest the imblancing issue? i.e. One tire lower than the other side? My car looks retarded and even with rolled fenders will still rub. It's obviously lower on the right then the left...is this because there's ~200lbs more weight on the driver side?

Dude... them doing that is just like Jiffy Lube dumping a car in the pit! No excuse, if they did their job properly, the paint would be intact.

anyone else notice the random boob shot halfway through the video?
Great video - I've had a roller for years and done a variety of cars. Other than the suggestions already made in terms of heat, speed, etc, the age of the paint plays a big part too. Older cars are almost guaranteed to crack, but given the age of your car there is no excuse - they were careless - and you definitely shouldn't pay to fix it.

the guy that did it should of known the paint might crack
its only common sense

If you are just cutting the wheel well plastic, fire away!
If you are talkin about cutting fenders too, there has been some debate over whether or not to cut them. I'm from the school of thought that says with patience and effort you can roll just about any fender. Cutting, imo, compromises the strength of the fender and will eventually lead to heavy warping like a beaten econobox.
