on lowering 60' times. I have only been to a track 2 times so I am a real beginner to all of this. both of the times I went turned out to be more waiting than actually track running so it has been hard for me to get any type of track memory. I keep reading everyboddies 1/4 mile runs and keep getting real jealous. My mods are in my sig and I figured I would be at low 13s, knocking at the door of 12s. And I realized it's my 60' are killing me. Can anyone help me with some launching techniques? I am going this saturday and from what I have heard this is the last weekend of the season. I really want to get some good numbers because as of right now I am a lil discouraged.
Even though I have a diablo installed can I still use my superchips to data log 60' and 1/4 mile times?

I'm no expert but I can tell you it's gonna be tough tomorrow with the cold weather. We will all be fighting for traction. I would say warm up the tires a bit and when launching, don't mash the pedal. Stage shallow (aka barely tripping the second stage light) so you can let her start rolling a bit before you hit the happy pedal.
You will get it. Just takes practice to learn your own car. Hell I'm still trying to figure mine out too!

-First make sure your car is cooled down well (I wait till I get down to 135* degree engine temps) just use the 25 cent fan mod and open your hood in the staging lanes (this will help get the most power from the car, leave the 25 cent fan mod in even when going down the track).
- Have the front tire pressures at 44 psi and the rears at 20-22 psi.
- When your close to staging shut your hood.
- Keep the car in drive for the burnout, don't need a huge smoke show here but 2 seconds of warming up and cleaning the tires by powerbraking and smoking the tires.
- Shift the car into manual (first gear) (make sure in the diablo settings you have it set to autoshift for you and in the quick adjust make sure and disable the ESP).
- Trip the first and second staging lights but don't go to far and trip the red light, powerbrake the car to 1500 RPM (takes a bit of finess but keep it right at 1500 rpm).
- If you wan't to cut a good light go on the last yellow light.
- At launch here is where you will need to figure it out, light acceleration for the first 10-20' and just gradually getting into the pedal over that time seems to work well. If your car will dead hook out of the hole give it all she's got. Biggest thing here is does your car hook up or not? If it doesn't keep trying different pedal methods here, lighter acceleration at the start if you can't hook, you will wan't to go WOT as quick as you can but if you can't hook up, going WOT and breaking traction will only slow you down but again try and get to WOT as quick as possible without breaking traction.
