My maggie was smoking a little from under the hood. I can't see where the smoke is coming from, however, i'm guessing it may be coming from the egr valve but i'm not 100% sure. Has anyone else had an issue with a smoking egr or a smoking engine???

Is it at first start cold start or after running awhile?
Is it all the time?
at idle or under acceleration or after acceleration?
what type of smoke gray/white?
Any type of smell?

It usually starts when the engineis cold. After it warms up a little, I can see the smoke. It is very light and smell almost like something oil based is burning. I cannot pin point the smoke but it seems to be coming from the driver side of the engine.
If you have any clue let me know.
Thanks

If the R. valve cover gasket is leaking, the oil will seep down onto the EGR valve.

I have not seen any signs of an oil leak but i'll check and let you know. Thanks.
