Finally got my CSRT wheels on:

http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h274/bklynmag/CSRT.jpg

Some fun facts to note:

I weighed the following wheel/tire combos on my household digital scale (don't tell the wife!)
Stock 18" Rim with Goodyear RSA 225/65/18 - 49 lbs
Stock 18" Rim with Contis 225/65/18 - 51 lbs (Yet another reason they suck)
CSRT 20" Rim with Good year F-1's 245/45/20 - 58 lbs

I weighed two seperate wheel/tire combos for each to be sure and they all had between 30-35 PSI.

I have spacers on the fronts and when the steering wheel is locked all the way to the right, in reverse I am hitting something. Haven't had the chance to track it down yet but other than that I am a happy camper. They look great and the car takes turns much better and without the squealing of my former contis in front.

looks good but we need more pics.... you had to run spacers because of a issue with the upper control arm? is that with all srt wheels on our cars?

Thanks Rob. Good point. I'm gonna check if the caps from the 18" wheels will fit.

Only when backing up and the steering wheel locked to the right. Not rubbing though, like it is hitting something intermittantly.

I have 245's in front and 255's in the rear.

The spacers are just on the front wheels. I believe it is due to the control arm. I have to get under there and check what was hitting but I chickened out as it was getting a bit chilly:mrgreen:

You know what I mean then, it's a kind of rubbing sound. I see no marks on my wheels or wheel wells, and mines intermitent also... Hmmmm wonder what it is?

At that speed it might not mark the wells, but chances are that's what it is.

I have never been a fan of the stock Magnum SRT (fat 5 star) wheels. IMO the 300SRT wheels look better on the Magnum. I have had my MagSRT since summer 06. At the time I also had a 300SRT, with 22" wheels. So I put the 300SRT wheels on the Maggie, love the look.

To answer others on this thread. The stock SRT center caps for the Charger and Magnum SRT wheels, will not fit the center cap area of the 300SRT wheels. They are smaller center caps than the (Chrysler) 300SRT ones.

I found this out when I saw a smooth center cap on E-bay, listed for Charger and Magnum wheels. I wanted to get rid of the CHRYSLER on my 300 center caps, since the wheels are now on a Dodge. I ordered the all smooth center caps, from E-bay, they were a tad too small to fit the 300SRT center cap area. I was able to use some silicone and the caps fit fine now.

Other recent mods. I found this window graphics online. It is fitting for my type of tailgate driving style and keeping slow drivers out of the Left Lane on the highways. It is printed back words so the car in front, when they read it in there rearview mirror, will read correctly.

In preparation of receiving my rear wing from BT. I took of my rear wiper arm. I had found this silver SRT8 emblem, on ebay, some time ago and felt it was perfect for covering up the hole, until I received my emblem from BT.

It is a little off center now, because of the wiper arm hole, in the hatch lid.

Hey guys on that rubbing sound - SRT wheels and Non-SRT suspension have a little bit of an issue with our spindles - tighter clearance where the inside upper edge of the wheel passes the spindle/arm.

I gently made a couple thousandths clearance on mine, but what really cooked my goose is why once in awhile I would hear a good TICK sound, backing up wheels turned.

It turned out to be the edge of a damn wheel balance weight! Sure I made room for the wheel but the darn weight was just a bit higher and would still make a noise. I fixed it.

See if you have the same issue. Good luck - hope it helps. :)

(Oh yea, and those look great on your ride!)

I'm a bit partial to the look myself as I have the Csrt's on my magnum. Love the look. My father has a silver 06 and went with the same but went with the staggered F1 set-up. The silver pockets on a silver magnum look great (IMO..)

Does anyone know if you can run 255/45/20's on the front of a non-SRT Magnum with SRT wheels (w/ 3mm spacers)? Or is a 245 the largest you run?

I don't know your answer for non-SRT Mags running SRT wheels. But I run the ToyoProxy4 in 255/45/20 on my front wheel of my MagSRT.
