Just find a Cooper 'S' engine, do the Cosworth mods to it and it'll give your Charger a run for its' money. Some of the modified 'S' engines have put out over 800HP. I'll have to try and find the picture of the Mini 'S' with both front tires smoking. In fact he smoked them right down to the cords.

Nice find!!!!

LOL... I figured you would get one, not so quick though, after you found that Mini at Wendys. The grin on your face said you were really into the Mini.
Congrats on finding one. But man!!! 3 projects on the go.
Just finnish that A-rod and sell it to me , so you can pour some money into the SRT-killer.

Updated pictures tonight I hope, just hoping to get the rotisserie built today and load it up to goto blasting tomorrow. LMAO I was offered a ZEX NOS kit for the VTEC conversion. Just what I need 250-300hp to a pair of 10x6 tires. O ya by the way expect to see a Suicide doors !! I have never seen it done on the old mini's and I'm going to do it.

There was an optional 12" tire that you could get on the Cooper S or if I remember correctly there was a 13" japanese rim that also fit. If you're going with the Honda power train are you keeping the 10's or upgrade to a larger tire?

I love the original Minis. My uncle had one but had to tear out the front seat and drive it from the back seat since he's about 6'6". I'm sure yours will be great when finished. Have fun with it - it looks like you are already! :thumbs_u:

I want a project car myself one day, but I can't really decide what car it should be. One obstacle is that I want to learn enough to do it mostly myself, but I don't know anything basically, so it'll be a LONG project whatever it is - But I believe the reward is the finished project you've done (mostly) yourself which makes all the hard work worth it.

I've been thinking about an old Volvo 122 (Amazon) since my dad had one and I love the car or maybe a C4 in need of some TLC.... time will tell.

Unless you flipped the pictures you have a Right Hand Drive with the optional wood steering wheel which is very hard to find.

Those who were upset at you posting updates can simply block Mike's posts or avoid checking this thread and grow up, seriously enough is enough. This is in our club section, not in the main area, and what happens in our club interests us and I for one want the updates to continue. i want to see this thing progress and where it goes from here. I helped Mike create this thread and if you have an issue with mike updating this thread... Bring it up with me ya dig?

I think this a cool project!:pepper:

If I were driving that little thing, I would want a full 4130 steel tubular roll cage installed no doubt!

It would also help stiffen what is there for cornering, etc!:thumbs_u:

I'm very interested to see how this turns out. Shouldn't bee too hard getting that tiny car to whip our heavy monsters. I guess gearing would be the only real obstacle. What size wheels do you plan on putting on it?

Nice to see some updates on the MINI. And no, I didnt apply again for the Charger( Ill stick with my 300C for now...) I went there today to replace a rotor thats been causing some vibrations and the Charger was still on the lot. Alot of people kicking them tires though. Talked to my dealer into getting a 300 SRT8 in the spring.

Please don't reply to this thread. It is a Voting Poll only for the upcoming M&G on Nov. 04th.
We have 2 choices, a overnighter(if desired) in Drummheller or The Newport Grill in South Calgary where our fine lovely and talented Chef Heather works.
If it's Drum, I'm thinking everyone show up on Saturday the 3rd around 1ish and then it's supper and drinks type thing. Sunday breakfast and head'r home.
If it's The Newport Grill, then we have to plan on a time to meet, BS a little and have supper and drinks so people can head home. Heather had originally suggested 11:30 to 3.

Majority wins!

This is where old polls and unwanted threads go.
I don't believe in totally deleting threads as club members should be able to view/reference anything they wish.
They can delete/edit their own posts to remove statements. Only moderators can move threads around.
