Jet Chip?

Well I have my K&N installed and Magnaflow on the way, I was wondering who has used the Jet Chip Stage 2 and what kinda reviews you had on it, My buddy said he can get me a good deal through the shop he manages and he said it should be a good gain for the money...what do u guys think?

I like my Stage 2 module but I'm chomping at the bit waiting for the Diablo Motorsports tuner... I'd be waiting for that if I didn't have the B&G or a Jet chip yet.

i drove a buddys car that had the jet chip 2 and i did not notice any difference. :roll:

The differences can sometimes be very subtle.. don't expect a night-and-day difference.

But I can tall you after driving a stock rental Magnum SXT for a few days that my mods have made a very real difference ;)

I am just looking for feedback from users...I havent really read a whole lot I know some people have said the Stage 1 is basically useless, I just dont want to waste money if Im not going to notice some increase...

I got a couple of HP from my Jet Chip. I posted the dyno somewhere on the forum.

Wait for the Diablo. There will be a boat load of Jet stage II for sale on this forum once that comes out. The Jet Stage II alone isn't gonna be much to write home about. However with it combined with a good exhaust, CAI, and headers it does make a difference. I have never regretted buying it. The Diablo tuner will likely make it seem that way. But when will that tuner come out? Who knows. Some are saying by xmas. Dunno if thats true or just speculation. If I were you I would at least wait until after xmas to pull the trigger on a Jet. Just my opinion mind you.

I had the Stage II for my Dak. I noticed a difference, but I had to have the Premium gas to feel the difference.

I bought the Stage I before that with my exhaust system and CAI and got a little more power. I was able to spin my tires a little bit on wet concrete (this was on an AWD).

If you get the Stage II, make sure you put in a 180 t-stat. It'll warm up your engine pretty good.

If he has the 3.5L engine chances are that he will already have a 180 thermostat. If you have the severe cooling option you have a 180. Check your window sticker.

I have been running the Jet Stage II chip for a while now.

I noticed a difference right away (doing the fuse pulling trick) , and a bigger difference after disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes..............

I also run an AIRAID CAI, and Blastin Bob's dual conversion with no resonator.................

If you want more, you can go with the B&G Flash, but you have to send your PCM in to them to be flashed.This is also more money the the chip.

If Diablo does come out with a tuner for us V6 guys, that is the route I will go.

I have seen the Hemi Diablo tuners and seen what they can do to these wagons.................:wink:

The Stage 2 for the LX 3.5 HO requires premium... a benefit in my books as Shell's top-grade gas has no yucky ethanol.

And the xmas date is prolly my fault.. I've speculated about an xmas release in various threads for the 3.5 Predator but there really has not been any official word other than that "it's on the roadmap" msg on the Diablo forum posted by the owner.
