my friend's 300 gets T-boned

Funny story-luckily no one got hurt
My friend is heading INTO NYC. He gets a call FROM work to pick up a guy FROM a hotel in Tarrytown and take him along because the guy is FROM California and is afraid to drive in the city. He picks the guy up and less than 5 minutes later another guy blows a red light and T-bones them as they are making a left urn to enter the highway! The dude FROM California's cell phone flew INTO the back seat, but otherwise no other problems. The airbags did deploy. Here's the pics:

Seems like a lot more damage to the Toyota, or what ever, than the 300.

The car being T-Boned shows much less damage but the frame was probably tweaked. The car doing the T-Bone will SHOW much more damage because of the crumple zone, which by design, crumples up. Lastly I will never buy a car without curtain and side airbags, but if they go off, they will most likely total the car.

BTW: I am really glad everyone was OK. Hopefully that didn't truamatize the guy FROM Cali too badly. He was already scared after all. :)

Wow, I had forgotten about this thread! Anyway, just sawthe guy yesterday and yes they totalled the 300. Guy FROM California has not been back since! Duuude
