I ordered a Canadian 300C end of July and the sunroof at that time was a standard feature. Now the Chrysler website shows that the sunroof is a option on all Canadian 300C's. Will this effect my ORDER which was placed 4 months prior to the sunroof becoming a option? Im a bit worried that with the option change that my 300C won't come with a sunroof cause at the time I ordered it the sunroof was a standard feature.

As long as it is listed on the ORDER sheet as standard you should get it. CHECK with your dealer to be sure. If you can't get a decent answer call customer service.

When I ordered my 300C back in august, the sun roof for all the 300's was an option.
I had to put that down on the ORDER form as an option. Even the original brochure has
the sunroof's as an option for all the 300 trim levels.
FROM all the things I have seen, plus all the 300C's I have seen on e-bay, some have
sunroofs, and some do not. It was always an option here in the United States, and
not standard with any 300 trim level.
You can CHECK e-bay and see all the 300C's being sold, and see that some have
sunroofs, and some do not. If it was a standard thing, they all would have them.

You should still get the sunroof, because it goes by what's an option whne you place your order.

Ya thats what im thinking, I did sign a agreement and gave a $1500 deposit so I think I should be fine. What Chrysler Canada has done is make the sunroof standard on the 300 Limited and not on the 300C. Not sure why they would do that but I guess slowly they want to make most of the standard features on the Canadian 300C as options.

I know. Thats why I said:
It was always an option here in the United States,
I was just telling him that here in the United States, its always been an option, and that
he should make sure it was an option in Canada and not to think it was a
standard thing just incase his salesman/dealership did not know if it was
an option or standard equipement, and just told him it was standard.
It always pays to check. But as its been said, if your ORDER said you wanted
the sunroof, then you will get it. If you just went with the standard 300C, then
you should CHECK to make absolutely sure you are going to get it. All you have
to do is go back to the dealer, and CHECK the VON. It should have all the equipment
that your car is coming with.
If the sunroof is not on there, have it added before its too late.

Are you listening/reading?!?!
It had been for a very long time indicated as standard ON THE WEBSITE!!! This is not just a matter of what a salesman said.

The sunroof was standard equipment on all Canadian 300C's up untill the sudden change about a month ago, plus other components are standard like HID's for instance. The real wood steering wheel and shifter were originally sold for 275 Cdn when I ordered my car in April, then it went to 295 and now it is 495. I believe we call it a price leader where they were testing the market place and then saw a cash cow and decided to make some money on this car.
If you signed an ORDER sheet prior to the new changes going in, you are protected by law and DC in Canada would not allow a dealer to play games.
Enjoy your car when it comes in. I sure do!!!!!!!

Yes, I am reading/listening. When he said:
I ordered a Canadian 300C end of July and the sunroof at that time was a standard feature. Now the Chrysler website shows that the sunroof is a option on all Canadian 300C's.
By saying he ordered it, I was reading that he did this at the dealership, and that
either the salesman at the dealership, or perhaps the paperwork itself had the
information on it about the sunroof being a standard item on the 300C in Canada.
His next sentence says that he checked the website 4 months after ordering his car, and the
website shows the sunroof is an option, when he thought it was standard. He
did not say that he got the original information FROM the website. He just said
when he ordered the car, it was said to be a standard feature. I would assume that
he did not ORDER the car over the website originally, but that he ordered it at the dealership, so I
figured thats where he got his original information.
So, now, between all the conflicting information, there is confusion as to whether
he is actually going to get the sunroof or not.
Again, both the website for the U.S. cars, and all the U.S. dealers have the same
information available. I just wanted him to check, since the Canadian information
does not seem to be in agreement, and is causing confusion, unlike the U.S. places.
I do not have access to the Canadian website, so I have no idea what it actually
says on there. I was just trying to compare the information off of our U.S. website
and dealerships to his Canadian information, and that perhaps its worth a call to his
dealer to figure this out. Its just a matter of getting the VON FROM the dealer and
checking it. If the sunroof is there, end of story. If not, try to have it added before its too late.
I was just letting him know what the U.S. sites and dealers informtion is, thats
all. Yes I was reading/listening. I was just stating a fact of the U.S. information
so he could compare it to his Canadian informtion.
Bottom line is, if you have question about it, just ask the
dealer to CHECK it, and get piece of mind if there is conflicting information.

Stop yelling guys, I don't want to lock good threads...
Anywho, you should call the dealer and see who they would recomend calling to make sure you do have the sunroof on your car.

Stop yelling guys, I don't want to lock good threads...
I didn't think we were yelling at each other. Just two guys talking and getting
our points across. Its kind of like two friends sitting at a bar, watching a football
game, and each person cheering for each team. You know they are going
to argue who is better, or who has the best players. But in the end, they both
like the game, and thats all that really matters. They can both enjoy a beer, and
have a good time talking sports.
At least thats the way I am taking it. I like the fact that someone will question what
is written instead of just saying something like, oh, your car is great, or oh, your
new rims look good with that color car over and over again.
It actaully gets people thinking, and reading, and searching to find the correct
answers to their problems. And, like you said, thats the bottom line. Speak up,
and get the answers to your questions.
This is a very good topic, and it will bring out some very useful information for the
Canadian buyers once this gets figured out.

Well I called DC today to CHECK the status of my car. They told me the car had been shipped and gave me a tracking id for the train. When I asked if I the car had a sunroof the lady told me that it didn't SHOW up on the computer. I'll be paying my dealer a visit later today to see whats up. It's my understanding that I should get the car with the options when I signed the purchase agreement. Im hoping that the DC operator made a mistake because I don't want to reorder my 300C with a sunroof when it was a standard option back in August. By the way, the sunroof option has only been in place here in Canada for a few weeks now. Up until Oct the sunroof was standard on all 300C's for the Canadian market. I'll keep you guys posted and thanks for the responses.

I just got back FROM my dealer and pretty much the dealer has told me that my car does have the sunroof. I told the manager that the 300C now has the sunroof as a option and he was surprised to hear that. He did CHECK my ORDER and it did SHOW that the ORDER was placed before the sunroof become a option. Even though the manager checked and comfimed it does have the sunroof im still worried because the car is in transit and I don't want to reorder the 300C with a sunroof and wait 3 months if for whatever reason the car doesn't come with a sunroof. Another thing that I find interesting is that the DC 1-800 tells you different info then the dealer so who do you believe? I guess i'll put my trust in the dealer rather then the 800 number.

jaheim, what was the date that you ordered your car? Its sounds like you ordered yours
around the same time I did. I ordered mine on August 3rd, and I am still waiting for it.
Seeing as yours is being shipped, maybe it will give me a better idea when mine is
going to get here. I know mine is being shipped to the US, but it will still give me a
basic idea of when to expect it.

You are going to give yourself a heart attack if you don't lighten up. YOU have a sunroof the law is behind you because of the contract you signed. Why do you keep doing this?
Do yourself a favour, lie back, have a beer, wait and when you get your car all these frustrations will go away, and enjoy your ride!!!!!!!
