She had bogged down and was actin like she was gonna cut off the other day. I put her in neutral, revved her up a few times and she was fine. I also did a lil more spirited driving on the way home and all was well.
This morning I come out to the car, start her up and Im on my way. I dont make it around the block before she is spuddering and trying to die on me again. I come back to the house, and by the time i get there, the check engine light is on. I ran the diagnostic and came up with a p0300. multiple cylinder misfire. She sat for a few hours and then i had a friend come by and follow me to the dealer. This is a new dealer to me as I just moved to this side of the water. (Va Beach). So basically I hope i dont get shafted.
My question to yous guys is, what did yall do to clear up your multiple cylinder misfire problem? decarbonize, new plugs, rotate valves? im kinda tight on cash right now, so im hoping that they arent gonna take me to the cleaners. Also, how hard is it to change the spark plugs myself? I hear people moan and complain all the time about changing the plugs on the v6's but I personally have never done it.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey I jumping in here cause good ole Hurse while at a local M&G put me to shame with the sweet rumbling sound of his maggie. Okay my SRT8 was only at idle but so he would not put that envious look on my face I have now ordered a CAT.

Plugs are only usually bad on transverse V6's because you can't reach the back 3, I don't see why they'd be hard on these cars, but I haven't stared down a 3.5L too hard. How many miles? Could be something like a fuel filter too maybe?

You have to remove the intake plenum <SP> to get to 5 of the 6 plugs. Hurse I don't know how many kilometers you have on your engine but if your getting that code at under 130,000KM then you need to drive it like you stole it more often. This HO engine demands performance or it will not rotate the valves and the result is carbon. .02CND

Lostdata, hehehe, i would hardly call it sweet rumbling, but thanks for the compliment. After I heard Chris's RT with his full exhaust, i am feeling a little inadequate. :)
Super, they are supposed to be hard because you have to take off the upper intake to access them. I heard its more of a PITA than hard. I was hoping to get to them this weekend, but just found out i gotta work. Booo.....

Next time you pull up beside me Hurse I'll be ready for ya....as I been told though the JBA cat-backs may a bit louder then I had desired ....
I have also put the SRT8 Badge right over the 300C on both sides. So now can't mistake it for just a 300C.
Still kinda of miss the fun of the SXT's though... just a little bit!...

Mine was doing the same thing, same code and all. I had the decarbonization/new sensor/rotate valves/new valve keepers thing done about 3 weeks ago now, and so far so good. First time I had the car in, they did not do the procedure, but used some kind of cleaner. Good for 2 weeks, then came back worse than before. Second time I got the service mgr involved and pretty much demanded that they do the whole TSB. They did, no charge, and hopefuly problem solved. (I had 35,800 miles on it so it was just barely still in warranty!)

Hurse,
The plugs are not that that hard to do at all........you just can`t be in a hurry. Get your tools, Breath deep, and take your time. When I had my 2.7, I think it took me about 50 minutes total.

You have 100,000 mile platnum plugs. You shouldn't need to change them unless you have 100,000 miles.
