Is it possible to install nivomat shocks from an R/T onto an SXT , without changing the springs as well ?
Please share your collective wisdom and experience .

I can't imagine why not. I just put SRT front struts on my RT with the Nivomats on back, best of both worlds , firmed up the control but still levels the trailer load. Gotta be someone thats done that ?

And did you retain the original springs ?

Yes. Ride is still comfortable but much better controlled. Now I'm probably gonna do the Hotchkiss sways.

Does anyone know how similar the SXT and R/T springs are ?

I would suspect if you put the RT front springs on a SXT it might raise up the front enough to look bad. In other words how much more does the 5.7 weigh more than the 3.5. Keep your springs upgrade your shocks and perhaps swaybars for the front. As far as the rear, they probably are the same. The SRT8 front struts were like $180 ea from my Dodge dealer and worth every cent.

Thanks for your input .
I am looking at buying the shocks from another member here , but I needed to know if I would be making the car worse not better before I carried onward .
