I'm not certain if your aware of this or not. Dyno there the first time and from that time on so you get true numbers on your gains. All dyno's are different.

Mr T. If time allows, u can count me in. I'll know more after the 1st.

2 1/2 weeks to go! Lets gets the dyno list filled, or we may have to let Spiffys friends in with their Hyundai's:wink:, although......... it would be cool to see what those supercharged rice burners got. I guess that would be a yes vote for Spiffys friends if it comes down to a vote:thumbs_u: A bitch slap for every Hyundai though..........

George, sorry man I read this the other day and forgot to respond. I doubt for this particular time that would be a good idea. Our host DC Performance is really wanting to show the LX community what they have to offer us. If we showed up with another brand of car in tow it may not look good.

This is no offense to them as they are pretty cool guys, at least the few I spoke to at Beach Burger.

No problem Tom. I just figured if you needed some more fillers, I'm sure they would be more than willing to fill some spots --- even being a different car. Was just putting it out there. I'll go. Not sure if I'll pull though.

JonW
09-16-2007, 05:23 PM
thewagon's middle runs were with no Superchips. If you look at 'Noid's summary list of pulls, you see some huge variations between 5.7's that basically all have the same mods. I think what we decided was causing the low results were those using 87 octane and SC tunes for that.

Andew & Hal - what octane and tune were you guys running?

thewagon

91 octane <before and after the SC update
SC Performance Tune <before and after the SC update
47k miles
Still not sure why Tom's was so far apart from Hal's and I. Maybe because its still a new car with so little miles. :Na_Na_Na_Na:

thewagon's middle runs were with no Superchips. If you look at 'Noid's summary list of pulls, you see some huge variations between 5.7's that basically all have the same mods. I think what we decided was causing the low results were those using 87 octane and SC tunes for that.

Andew & Hal - what octane and tune were you guys running?

Seems to be fine!

The only differance is that in auto stick it shifts sooner and has no 5th, other than that she still feels strong!

I got your grannie, I seem to remember leading a pair of 300's through a certain tunnel at WOT! :Na_Na_Na_Na:

If I could had got my car there, I would had run it. How much does it cost to just go and do 3 pulls? I'd like to get a baseline for my car.

Oh well. The car does look great! I'm excited about this coming weekend. :D

Thanks for sharing the pics guys, wish I could have been there. I would like to see what difference a few mods, 91 tune running 91 octane would do. Next time.

It was a great day, if ya missed it, to bad, make it next time. These guys are the real deal. Authorized warranty work, performance work, installs, etc. etc. The place is very clean, lots of vipers around. Lyle was great, I know these guys will treat you right if your looking to do some mods to your ride.
Here are a few pics I took

I think its $125 - we got it for $65, and they did my car twice. Once with 87 octane (I was wondering why the numbers were low) and then again after I filled with 91 and retuned to SC 91. No charge for the second run. These guys are good.

I reset adaptives a few days before and was runing Cevron 91 for several weeks with a 91 SC flash, and tried to run it agressively since the re-set.

Also had it set to reduced torque management, whatever that means.

And paddle hold, but had Chris back out at 5500 RPM's.

It seemed apparent after Andrews re-run, that the flash Jon did, hadn't been learned yet, and it was getting late, so I didn't re-run.
I spoke to Lyle today, and I'll try to get back down there and do a pull again, before any more mods.
During my pull, I was 6 TCM versions back and something like 5 on the other software, and had surging issues with SC version 1.11.

The surging is mostly gone now.

I had about 9000 miles on the car, and it seems to be waking up a bit.
