Looks like JBA has finished their second run... hopefully they will release some sales figures so we can put 'em in front of other performance manufacturers. I need a tuner damn it !!

Where did you end up purchasing the headers from? Who's doing your install?

Gonna love 'em!!!

I'm starting to get excited !

Getting 'em from James at Pro-Motion... was gonna save the props for when I have them in my sweaty palms ;) but he seems like a good guy. Also ordered the DC Sports strut bar so that folks have something new and neat to look at under the hood :p if it improves cornering and/or wear on the car even better lol. At least science seems to support strut bars.

As for install... Moondoggie you certainly have convinced me to put Eastway Chrysler on my short(ie) list... but my exhaust shop Zoro on Stanfield and Dundas in Mississauga (ON Canada) will likely get first dibs and will probably undercut Eastway by a couple hundred bucks... they've earned my trust over the years (they made the custom Magnaflow on my Charger) so if they're prepared to tackle the job I'll be happy. Plus I can waste away the hours at the bowling alley next door ;)

What ever works for ya. I wasted away the last hour at the gaming bar next door to Eastway. Now that was interesting :)

Keep us informed man. :thumbs_u:

Update.. If I don't hear from the vendor this week I may have to call the credit card company and have the charge reversed... I haven't heard from James or Pro-Motion for over a week despite a few emails. His last msg to me was that everything was shipping, but nothing is here and their website still says both items are "pending".

I guess I'll try a call on Monday if I can find the time... sigh. I regret not going back to High Horse Performance now, figured I'd try another vendor to see if they were any quicker but this is now much worse than the delays with High Horse.

In the meantime, I've run a can of Combustion Chamber Conditioner through... figured might as well do this before the headers go in to keep 'em clean longer. Also thinking about changing the spark plugs right after the headers go in to ensure the cleanest burn.

You should have bought the headers from Eastway. They have them in stock and you could have them on your car by now. I hope everything works out for you. Keep us informed.

I still want 'em coated though... if I don't hear from the vendor this week I'll call Eastway and ask if they can get them coated for me.

Was really anxious to cancel when I heard that the strut bar I also have on order might not fit in the engine bay but apparently that was a false alarm.

I am also teetering back to doing the job myself... not only to save the money but to give me an(other) excuse to buy a nice hydraulic jack and some stands. The other excuse is the switch to Royal Purple which I might as well put in myself... and if I do that I might as well change my own differential oil... and... :p

Well they've finally arrived, direct drop-ship from JBA.

UPS charged me an extra $150 at the door for duties etc. etc. etc. quite a shocker !!! That is likely enough to motivation for me to tackle this install on my own.

JBA sure knows how to pack something for shipping... unlike the DC Sports strut bar which arrived with some damage (a dent on the backside and one mount plate was bent... shouldn't affect anything but the paint/coating started to crack when I got the rubber mallet to flatten it back out).

So... I need to get all my gear together in hopes of tackling this Saturday or Sunday I suppose... I want to slap 'em on there right now :p

Really tempted to bundle-in the inaugural Royal Purple oil change and even a brake job but once I have a jack and stands I can do these things another time ;)

NOT!!

Thats why I canceled my order at HHP and got my headers from Eastway for 30 bucks more. Hellooooo.

brace should give you more consistent handling. you'll notice the consistency a decent bit in turns like circle on and off ramps, especially if they have less than perfect surfaces.

strut braces are awesome. makes everything else work precisely as it should. less slop.

Just a side note... If you are in Canada I strongly recommend Adam at Eastway. He and I work together on sales and service and I usually send the Canadian JBA clients his way.

He is on top of his game, awesome at customer service, and unless the world ends he keeps his word.

Good afternoon MoonDoggie, did I do that...? I thought you ordered from HHP not 402 Motoring?

Was that before I switched companies?

Yep Jason's a good dude, thought I'd try a different vendor this time but I'll probably go back to HHP next time for my cross-border needs.

And yep the $150 was to get 'em over the border.. not for shipping. So much for free trade !!!

I'm still teetering on doing 'em myself or bringing the car to Adam... if I had more space to store jack & stands and my hands were longer and skinnier it would be a no brainer :p

Oh and I checked with my muffler shop and they won't do headers.

Or if you just need some input or have questions or concerns you can always call me or e-mail, I am more than happy to help.

Take care,

Anyone replacing their headers who would sell me their old ones? I am looking to do some work on a 99 300m. They should be close and need very little modification. Just PM me if you are willing to ship them and a price.
