Hey guys, for some time now Ive been wanting to get the SRT. Today I went to my dealership to change the oil and tires and this sales guy got me thinking into getting one lol. Its a brilliant black 07 300SRT8 fully loaded and the price is $53.000... The payments would be $300/month more than what im paying right now for the 300C. My only concern is that winter's coming soon and I dont know if I should get it now or wait until spring... What do you guys think? :pepper:

It is a great car but it is all up to you. If you are ready to take the plung then hop on board my friend and welcome to the darkside. Good luck on your decision

Come on down!!! But I think you can do considerably better than $53k! If you do get an SRT you absolutely will NOT regret it. But please do the homework and don't overpay. Good luck and like they say "We'll leave the light on for ya."

Dunno,,, Me, I'd wait till spring. Brand new SRT8 in the winter,,, but, if you find the the price is right, (you've done a bunch of investigation?), what the heck, go for it. Just make sure you take it someplace, NOT the dealer, and get it undercoated properly.

I think thats a pretty good price up in these parts for the car.
State side they go for less like everything else.

Wait until the end of the month, and do not let them railroad you. Remember: These are cars that only a die-hard enthusiast wants. Very small market for a 425hp family sedan that gets 13mpg around town and uses premium fuel. The ball is in your court!

I think a lot fewer dealers are stocking them than in 06. That will drive up demand and hold prices higher than when they got stuck with overstocked 06's. My dealer wont order any SRT's unless you preorder one. Funny thing was they ordered a Charger Srt8 and it sold within 2 weeks. My luck when I get ready to buy an 08 that they will be jacked up another $10,000.

Here's where I stand on this topic. Don't buy the car thinking it will hold the value better, they don't. In 2006 for every CSRT there were 5 300SRTS on the lots in Edmonton. Now the tables have turned and the dealers are only pre-ordering them now because of there past screw up. Right now I'm trying to get rid of my CSRT and the dealer is only willing to give me $33,000 with only 5800km's on the odometer. I paid $52,000 with all options 1,2 and 3 and if I sell private the dealer says I need $40,000 to get me outta the loan. The price your quoted @ $53,000 is that with all options including Nav, Nav is like $3000. I almost bought a 300 srt that was on the lot before buying my car but it didn't have all the bells and whistles at $53,000. All I have to say is do the research before buying because the dealership will tell you the world of good when it comes to holding value and they really don't hold it that well. Find a used one for around $40,000 or go down to the states and buy one for $30-35,000 the dollar is still good where you would still end up with a smokin deal. Thats just my opinion, you don't have to listen to me.

I think buying stateside is the way to go on the SRT8’s in general. They are averaging about 10k less there once you work out all the taxes and exchange rates and its all due to supply and demand. When I was looking in Calgary for one 6 months ago (charger), I was told I would be put on a waiting list that would be 3-6 months depending on what color I wanted. This was the case at 2 different dealers I went to and they warned me up front that the cars were selling for at least the MSRP!!
I had pretty well tossed in the towel on buying one till I came across a used one with 5k km’s on it out of town.

Thanks for all the info guys, I found a used one with 10k kms's for $44.000 but Im leaning more towards getting an 07 model in the spring after they get the 08 stock. Hopefully Ill get a better deal and I wont have to worry about winter for a few months :)
