We will be driving :racing: from Vancouver to Regina the first of September and then returning on the 7th or 8th. We'd love to meet up with some other LX'ers along the way! :) Anybody interested? :thumbs_u:

It would be a good summer highway cruise, but we are returning from Victoria/Golden on the 27th and we can't take another road trip so soon afterwards. Something about paying bills, jobs, taxes, eating,,,,,

You never really stated which way you are cruisin through to begin with.
Sounds like your flying through Calgary way, most Edmonton guys won't reply in that case. Alot (not saying all) of the Edmonton members are pretty quiet on here as well.

Basically sticking on the #1 the whole way. I can veer off to meet up though. We could get some cool photos :)

Man I love that Highway, Rogers Pass is great. Haven't been on the pass in 10+ years, beats the heck out of the #16 where I find it boring going past Jasper. I'm not sure what my plans are so far in September, I just posted a thread to see how many would be interested in a M&G in September, maybe we can spark something for the weekend that your passing by.

If I knew when you would be coming through Medicine Hat I'd try and round up some fellow LXers for a small M&G, I know a few that would like to meet others from Western Canada.

Hope you have a good trip, don't let those long straight stretchs put you to sleep. We're a little far north of your route to hook up unless your driving the yellowhead. (located in oil land 1 mile north of Leduc #1)

Wow, this thread would have been so much different if it was a member coming out to BC.
Meet & greets, parking lot get togethers, BBQ's, parties.
West Coast is different I guess.

Yepp ! We are no where near as active as you BCer's. Trying but we are all to spread out. More members in the Calgary area and most of the M&G's are based around there, many of us up in the Edmonton don't want to drive 2-3hrs for a 1-2hr meet.

Already arranged. I take it you're talking Sept 2, Sunday? I have the other local LX member also involved with this. What type of breakfast/brunch are you 2 in favor of so I can make a reservation = Steak & eggs or what? Looking forward to seeing you.

PS - I've contacted a Calgary member to see about setting up something for you. I take it you're spending Saturday night in Calgary. I want your visit to Alberta to be a memorable one.

We plan on making it past Calgary, possibly all the way to Medicine Hat. We can arrange our schedule however we like though. There's always the trip home too. I have your number and will definitely be in touch.

If you're trying to push through to The Hat in one day maybe some of us could meet up with you for a quick Tim's on the east end of Calgary, as you're passing through. There's one about a 100 yards south of the TransCanada(16th Avenue), at the corner of 52nd St NE. It's only a few seconds off the highway so you won't take a lot of time getting to it given that you still have a 3 hour drive ahead of you to Medicine Hat.

Yeah, that could work. Like I said, we don't really have a "schedule" so if we stop for longer that would work too.
Looking forward to meeting a bunch more LX'ers!!

Looks like you are having to work pretty hard at this Dwight! Hope your trip goes well and you get to meet alot of the LX Bretherin. If any of you Alberta LX'ers are ever coming to BC...let us know. We will show you a reception that you won't forget.:thumbs_u:

We are actually leaving a day early now, if that makes it any better for our Alberta bretherin. We will be in the Calgary area by late afternoon and then we'll see what happens from there.

Unfotunately that leaves me out as well-at least for the outbound leg. I'm in Kelowna as I write this, Nelson tomorrow night, and not back into Calgary until early Saturday afternoon.

I'll try to catch you on the back side though, if you post a return schedule through your trip.

I'll be online throughout the trip so I'll keep you all posted as I would love to meet up with some other LX Members. We will be leaving Regina for our return trip, on Friday, Sept. 7th. We aren't really on a set schedule so if somebody has something in mind just let me know, maybe we can work around it! :)
