I want to thank all the A-LX members that made it to the July 14th M&G. Man it was a hot one 34*c was the final temp. My wife and I really had a blast meeting all the members and seeing all the rides. I hope to see all you guys and gals again soon. Thank you again. Time to go and crash now with all the heat my wife and I took in.

No kidding! what a scorcher... my poor head , Robbie and I look like ripe tomatoes! Lol, Thank you so much STS "Cable Guy" for the huge amount of work you put into this meet and just for letting us hang around you place... The berries were good, the cars were sweet, and we doubled our attendance from the last one with Dokey showing up near the end there. 12 members!!! So at the next one I expect at least 18, lol.

Thank you again, you really outdid yourself, and the 130mph Sh!Tt3r was a good idea!!. Talk to you soon,

Chris

Oh, and the pics are coming!

A giant thanks to Mike the cable guy and his wife, From KWhale and his wife (Froggy!) for everything you did to host this for us!!! The set-up was perfect, and I can't believe your wife even did the BBQ'n for everyone...she's a keeper Mike!

And I can hardly believe that an Alberta club is complaining about the heat, but MAN THAT WAS HOT! Thank God for all the water an other uhhh cold bottled liquids....and a designated driver LOL.

It was a great way to spend a sunny Saturday, and this was the first time for both of us attending a car club/show. We really enjoyed ourselves and hope to do more meets in the future.

Thanks again Mike, and also to everyone who attended. It was good to put some faces to the forum names and cars, and to see some sweet rides up close.

Thanks STSRT-8 for all the work you put into this!:wax: I think the turnout was pretty decent for a young club, although you were certainly set up to handle four times the crowd.
It was really good to meet with everyone, many for the first time and those that I remember from the last time at the M&G in Edmonton.
Magnacharged, didn't realize you were such an instigator, :pLOL I was tempted to have a go but there was just to much traffic to open her up for very far. I figured the best thing for me was to get out of Dodge (pun intended) and away from your bad influence. :chickdance:LMAO Like the sound of those pipes when you walk on it though!!:thumbs_u:

I don't want to leave you out of the picture either Shelly, I know you had a hand in all the prep for this great event!! And stop picking on that poor tree!!

Like Chris said, the next meet were shootin for 18. Calgary was 6, my place 12, but hey then the next show we're actually shootin for 24 then.
Great times and I know the Glen Park Road is a very tempting road to test the cars out. Chris and I were talking about setting up a M&G at Sylvan Lake in August sometime. I know most members at the July 14th Meet heard us talking about it. WE COULDN'T HAVE LUCKED OUT ANY BETTER YESTERDAY !!! well minus 7-8*c might have helped out a bit. I have to say a really big thank you to all those members that made it from Calgary, Red Deer, Gibbon's and of course our locals for driving the distance and showing the support for LX owners and the forum. My wife thanks everyone for showing, she had a great time and loved meeting the wives and GF's. LMAO she passed out around 9pm last night and still haven't seen her move yet, 12 + hr's. So Chuse when are we ordering the ZOOMERS !!! When you want to order them i'll get a set as well, Rick is a bad influence just showing those damn things off.

It would be cool to fill the grass with cars,,, maybe with enough notice it could happen. Late August, early September, kids back in school, still fairly decent for weather,,,,

Marilyn wants to thank you for the berries and lunch as well, and to let the girls know she didn't get mugged for the saskatoons, she made it home unscathed. She enjoyed meeting all the "Gals" and appologizes for scampering off without saying goodbye to everyone, but she was so hot after picking the last of the berries she didn't think she could make it back to the other end of the field again, just wanted to get the A/C going and head home for a cool shower.

Awesome get together. Mike, you and your wife are FABULOUS hosts! I can't beleive the amount of effort you two put into this, then you thank US for just showing up. Thank YOU!

We've got a great club here. I've been in other car clubs before and there are usually one or two members that I just don't click with (or sometimes worse) but I've got to say that I've been to all three meets so far and I haven't met one member, wife, or GF that I didn't like. My GF (Lilibeth) said the same thing on the way home.

A meet late August or early September sounds great, but unfortunately Ray (Raygun) says he'll be moving to Houston in mid-August. Maybe we could do something small and local, like our last Hooter's meet, to have a send-off for Ray and his wife in two or three weeks.

Just a thought.
